"Heyyyy..." Jace said while sitting down.

"Hi," I said nervously.

"Don't be nervous."

"I'm not.."

I looked the other way. I can feel my face heating up. Thanks, face.

He turned me to look at him.

"Take as much time as you need, Janice," he said. "I can wait.. for you."

"Thanks..?" I said in a question. Why did I say it like that?"

At the end of the day at school, I went home with Addi.

"Go reconcile with your dad," Addi told me. "And tell him what happened with you and.. Bob."

"Oh yeah.. I forgot I told you," I said. "And no. Never speak of the pedo ever again."

"Well, atleast go talk to your dad!"

"Ughh... I really don't want to! He knows how I feel about his fiancé," I said.

"Maybe you just gotta learn how to accept her.." I heard her mumbled.

"Don't even go there, Addison Sneer Law!"

"Okay, okay. You brought up my full name."

"I love your middle name." I laughed.

"I freaken hate it!" she shrieked.

I sigh. "Alright, I'll go talk to my dad. And tell him about," I gulped. "Bob."

I packed my stuff and drove to my dad's place.

I hesitantly knocked on the door. I don't know why I'm so nervous. Wait, yes I do.

The door opened and my heart was beating so fast.

Oh, just who I expected.

My dad...

"Hi.." I said. "Dad.."

"Janice?" he replied.

Really dad?

"I didn't expe-"

"Yeah, me either."

"Uh.. come in?" he offered.

"Thank you," I said lifting my luggage up and walking into my house. It was weird and awkward.

I sat down on the couch.

My dad closed the door and sat across from me.

"What made you come back?" he asked.

I sigh. "I... I realized that I was wrong, Dad. I'm sorry."

He got up and say next to me.

"It's okay, sweetie."

"No it's not, Dad. I'm at fault."

"I-"

"I was just.. upset and disappointed that you lied to me and mom," I said.

"I-"

"I didn't want to lose you. I'm afraid you're going to abandon me. You're my parent and I love you."

"Janice," he said.

"Yeah?"

"I broke.. up with her. Pally," he told me.

"What?" I exclaimed.

"Yeah. I did."

"Dad! Now I feel even more bad! You broke up with her because of me!"

"No, it's okay, honey," Dad said. "I realize that.. I love you more than anybody. I love you and your mom more than anybody and anything in this world."
