5: Hate

Nico's pov:

I couldn't believe that Annabeth and Percy would leave us like -- that! How dare he do that! After everything, he just leaves us like trash and asks us to stay away. That fool and idiot. How-- you know what? I'm putting the hunters on them. Choosing one God over the Greek gods, pfft.

"Hey Neeks! Where's Percy and Annabeth?" Thalia said, running to me,

"They're not 'demigods' anymore," I stated,

"What do you mean, Nico? Of course they are!" I shook my head,

"They chose Christianity and one God over the ones they saved..." I trailed off, glaring at the floor. She choked,

"What?" She asked, after her coughing fit.

"Don't ask me, but Percy started this." I said, shrugging,

"I'll go inform M'Lady Artemis and get the hunt on it, you IM the gods and tell them. We lost our hero into mortal religions." She spat religions. She ran off, toward the hunters.

I IM'ed the gods.

"Nico, why are you calling us?" Asked Zeus.

"Uh, sorry Lord Zeus, but Percy isn't with us anymore. He's become Christian and all...We're sending the hunt on him. Annabeth's with him too, by the way." Athena growled in anger at the same time as Poseidon turned red.

"Thank you, Son of Hades." Said Zeus, clenching his teeth in anger, I nodded and swiped through the message. Thalia ran up to me,

"We're going to Sally's. Now. Both of us, just the 2 of us. Now." I nodded, and shadow traveled us to a near, empty place near Sally's. When we arrived, we rang the door bell, and she let us in.

"Is it possible to meet Percy?" I asked politely,

"Sorry, he's, uh, busy." She answered,

"Really? This is urgent," said Thalia, a little too quickly and roughly,

"Sorry." She answered and walked off to the kitchen,

"He's Christian, we want answers," Said Thalia smoothly,

"Oh! Uh...Wait a second." She said and walked to the kitchen, obviously trying to avoid us. She walked back with a pile of blue cookies, "Want some?" She said innocently,

"No. We need Percy," Thalia growled, taking out a knife. She put her hands up.

"He doesn't want to be found, just leave him alone!" She shouted, taking out a knife from a drawer, Thalia grabbed Estelle, who walked into the room and put the knife at her throat,

"Where. Is. Percy." She growled, I smirked,

"L-let h-h-her g-go. Y-you w-wouldn'-t do this. P-please!" She stuttered, tears gathering in her eyes. I smiled, sickly,

"Answer the question then, Sally." I said,

"He's...*address*" She said reluctantly, we both smirked,

"Thank you." We said at the same time,

"You devil's demons." She growled, through her tears. I shrugged it off, even though it did hurt to see one of the nicest people I know say that to me. We went to Percy's house, we put a cup each to the door, listening to everything. We heard music, Percy's voice and Annabeth's singing,

"Let's be pioneers,
And we'll build our home,
In the great unknown,
Yeah,
Let's be pioneers,"

(the song is at the top, trust me, it's AMAZING! The first woman there singing is Moriah Peters, who is also a singer, she's also great and amazing!) We looked at each other, Thalia looked plain confused, looking at me. I cleared my throat and knocked on the door, we quickly threw the cups away. Percy opened the door, with Annabeth nowhere to be found,

"Oh, it's you." Percy said, emphasizing 'you'. Surprisingly, not using any hate or anger in his voice.

"Hello, uh, can we talk?" I asked, smiling,

"No one who threatens my sister is welcome in this home, stay out." He said, I peeked inside, it was beautiful. Thalia also looked in awe,

"Perce, what's happening? Who's there?" Annabeth's voice was heard shouting,

"Nothin' Wise Girl! Just Nico and Thalia!" Percy shouted back, with a smile, why's he not angry? I thought, he should be. We threatened, hunted and all that to him!

"Why're you not angry?" Thalia said, voicing my thoughts,

"The Bible says otherwise, being angry or hating someone is the same as killing that person. Makes sense, besides! That's a sin!" He said in a 'duh' but 'happy' voice, I just stared,

"Anyways, what do you want?" He said, as Annabeth came to view,

"Oh, it's you..." She sighed,

"Annabeth, you're doing a mistake. A big one..." Thalia started,

"No! I've never felt happier or freeier in my life! I have a home, a life which I always wanted. What sort of friend would take that away from me! I always wanted one, now God showed his mercy and gave me a home with the one I love!" She said, sadness in her voice, "You're trying to take something away from me, something I always wanted. The gods aren't gods to me, not anymore. You can't change that." She said, shaking her head, as Percy put his arm around her, comforting her,

"Fine, you don't have a friend from us. Both of us, and the camps, gods and all." Thalia said, turning around.

We sat on the step, and heard Annabeth singing,

A song, I've never heard. (Song right above this, 'Burn The Ships'.) I sighed, guess they've just made a life away from us. After everything...
