Chapter 13- Feared losing him

"The owner of this phone got into a car accident" The man on the other side

"What?"

"A car hit him on the south-east streets, the people took him to the city hospital"

"Is-s he okay-y?" I managed to ask

"I don't know what to say, he lost a lot of blood. I think you should come soon" The man said

"Yes-s, I'll be right-t there" I said disconnecting the call. Grabbing my coat and purse, I drove away to the hospital. Tears were threatening to fall but I managed somehow. I decided to give Jimin a call

"Oh, Y/n. Is everything okay? You called me so late-" He was interrupted when he heard sobs

"Y/n? You okay? Where are you?" He asked with concern

"Taehyung-g..... Taehyung-g got hit-t by a car-r.... they-y.... city-y hospital" I couldn't form proper sentence as I kept sobbing while driving the car

"Where are you?" Jimin asked

"I-I.... driving towards-s the... hospital-l" I managed to speak

"Okay, Y/n, listen to me. You go to the hospital, I'm coming there with dad and I'll also inform your in-laws okay? Don't worry, everything will be okay" He said disconnecting the call while I continued to drive towards the hospital

[City hospital]

Reaching the hospital, I parked my car and made my way towards the reception. Trying to catch my breathe, I asked the receptionist

"Can-n you tell me the room number-r of, Kim-m Taehyung?" 

"Yes, but the doctors won't allow anyone to visit them without a proper identification since he is a businessman. What is your relationship with him?" The receptionist asked

"I'm-m his wife. Pa- Kim Y/n" This was the first I used his last name

"Ah, Mrs. Kim. I'm sorry I failed to recognize you. Mr. Kim is on the third floor, room number 309" The doctor said as I just nodded before making my way towards the elevator. Reaching the floor, I hurried and made my way to one of the doctors

"Doctor-r.... Taehyung-g?" I couldn't form sentences as tears were threatening to fall

"Are you perhaps his wife, Mrs. Kim?" He asked as I just nodded

"Mrs. Kim, I won't give you false hopes but.... he was hit by a car so, his left leg and right arm's elbow is fractured and he also has brain injury. We operated him and stopped the leak of blood inside his brain but I can't guarantee his condition right now" The doctor and at that moment, I was scared. I feared losing him

"Can-n I at least-t see him?" I asked

"We can't let you see him however you can see him from the see-through glass on the door, excuse me" The doctor said before taking his leave as I walked up to the door. Taking a look at him through the small glass window, my heart clenched at the sight. I couldn't see him like that

Just then, Jimin came with dad and others. I couldn't speak anything, instead I just went and hugged him tight while he caressed my hair

"Shh, it's okay. Everything will be fine" Jimin said

"He-e.... He will be okay-y right-t? I-" I choked on my saliva while crying that I couldn't form sentence. I just kept crying till tears left stains down my cheeks while everyone kept comforting me with sweet words but they were of no use if you knew the reality

[Time skip: Next morning]

No one went home last night, all of us stayed here. I slept with my head on Jimin's shoulder. We were interrupted when the doctor came to us with a smile on his face making us slightly confused

"Congratulations, Mr. Kim regained his senses. You may meet him now" The doctor said and it felt like we found light in darkness but little did I knew, more darkness was yet to come

"Taehyung, oh my are you okay?" His mother asked him while hugging him lightly

"Yes, I am"

Everyone kept asking him questions about his health and all, but I stood behind everyone because I was too afraid to face him. I felt like all this happened because of me. Neither had I asked for divorce, nor had any of this happened

"Y/n dear, come here" His father said looking at me

"Go" Jimin said as I bit my lip in nervousness. I took small steps and stood next to him. Taehyung looked at me with a confused expression

"Taehyung, how-" He interrupted me but the next thing he said, left everyone shocked

"Who is she?" He blurted out

"Taehyung, what are you even saying? You don't know her?" Seokjin asked 

"No, am I supposed to remember her?" He asked looking at me

"Doctor!" Namjoon yelled while Jimin rubbed my shoulder

"Yes?" The doctor asked

"Why doesn't he remember her?" Namjoon asked

"Due to the impact, he has memory loss. He won't remember anything about the last 3-4 years" The doctor said, everybody looked at me as their eyes met my teary one's 

"Who is she anyways?" Taehyung asked once again

"She-" Namjoon was about to answer but I cut him off by saying

"No one. I think I-I should leave" I said before leaving the door in a hurry. 

"Y/n dear!" 

"Y/n, come back!"

"Y/n!" I could hear my name being called but I didn't stop. Instead I kept walking while tears rolled down my eyes

You won't feel someone's pain unless you feel it yourself

This was worst than loosing him. He could hate me, not talk to me anything but him forgetting about every moment we spent together hurts even more. He was the one who made me face my past which I almost forgot but why did he forget himself in that past?

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Jimin call my name, as I turned around, I found Jimin running towards me while trying to catch his breathe

"Y/n-"

"He doesn't remember anything. How funny right? The one who made me remember my past with him, forgot himself in that past" I said with a sad chuckle 

"Y/n" Jimin said softly trying to hug me but I moved away

"I don't know why but I'm crying-g.... he doesn't-t know me-e" I said with a smile while tears rolled down my cheeks. Before I could say anything, Jimin hugged me

"Cry. Sometimes, it's okay to cry" and that was enough for me to breakdown. I kept crying while Jimin kept stroking my hair

"Everything will be fine, I promise" Jimin whispered softly

"Will it be?"
