Your head hurts with the voices of others. It was constant and made sure you were always in pain. You tried to tune out the voices as you looked outside, but you couldn't help but wince under the pressure. Aizawa was driving and the buzz of the engine was annoying enough. 'I need to visit my mother' you heard someone say. 'Ah fuck! A bee!' Another said as you whimpered slightly louder. They were yelling. Why? The noise made Aizawa turn towards you with a neutral look, before he turned back towards the road.

"Does your head hurt?" He asked in a quiet and considerate tone. You nodded slightly as another person started talking. 'There she is. I'm glad she's okay.' 'Cool! A hero!'. Abruptly, Aizawa parked in free space along the road. He turned to you, his white scarf partially covering his face, as he pulled open a box of some kind. Whatever he grabbed made a little rattling sound as you peered at it. It was orange and had a white label around it. The continents inside were small and made a little noise as he moved. "Here, take this." He said handing you one of the small items.

You took it into your palm and stared at it. The thing was circular and very tiny. You honestly didn't know what to do with the thing. It was new and strange. "What do I do with it?" You softly spoke, holding the tiny object out to him. He seemed to understand what to do after that.

"It's a medicine to help you with your headache." He explained slowly. "You swallow it." He said as he handed you a plastic object that had a liquid in it. "This is water to help it down." You stared at the two items. You honestly didn't know what the term swallow meant, nor what water was. You had a slight idea though. Taking the medicine you put it in your mouth and chew. A nasty taste intruded on your taste buds as you scrunched up your nose. Aizawa softly laughed while taking the water and opening it. "Here." He lifted the bottle up to your mouth and poured some in your mouth. It quickly washed the taste away as Aizawa handed you the bottle.

You started to drink it by yourself after that. Aizawa started back on the road as you looked back out the window. Surprisingly, the noise from others was way quieter after a few minutes. You could still hear them if you tried, but you didn't want to try. You just wanted the quiet for a bit. It was peaceful and something you didn't get to experience often. Before long, a large building appeared within your view. It was very large and on a tall hill. A wall surrounded it, and you drove through easily. From there, you saw an abundance of trees pass your view on a continuous loop, but each one was unique in its own way. Then you reached a place with other cars. Aizawa moved into a colored space and looked towards you.

"This place is UA." He started. "We train heroes here and we are going to take care of you from now on." He continued. He reached over and pressed the button, releasing a belt that was wrapped around you. "We are going to head in and meet some people."

"Scan their thoughts?" You asked as Aizawa got out of the vehicle. He didn't seem to hear you. Before long, he was on the other side and helping you out. "Do I need to scan their thoughts?" You ask again as he shakes his head. "Kill them?" He shakes his head slightly quicker than before. "What do I do then?"

"You listen to what they have to say." He responded. You furrowed your eyebrows as he led you towards the tall building. You never had to listen to someone like that. Orders, sure, but never just listen. Normally you have to interrogate them or find some obscure information in their heads. Aizawa led you into the building and down the long and tall hallway. There were stairs and he quickly led you up those too, before he stopped at a sliding door. He opened it with one hand and you were met with a large room of people. They each had their own costumes, but your mind couldn't focus on that. No, you could only focus on All Might. He was there too. You look towards Aizawa, but he shakes his head, shooting down what you thought they wanted.

"Hello miss (L/N)!" A white fuzzy creature said at the head of the table. You looked at him slightly confused. Who was a (L/N)? "I hope you had a pleasant trip." He said delightedly as he stared at you. Was he talking to you? "My name is Nezu."

"Not my name." You whisper as Aizawa crosses his arms. "Is it?" You look towards him.

"Your name is (Y/N) (L/N)." Aizawa said loud enough for the others to hear. "Not Subject."

"Why?" You question softly. The others in the room had to strain to hear you correctly.

"It was the name you had before." He replied. The others in the room watched as Aizawa tried to explain what your own name was. "Are you okay with being called (Y/N) instead?"

"It's weird." You say not giving an answer. If you didn't want to be called and said your opinion, you could get in trouble.

"We would like you to know that you're safe here dear." An older woman said as she rotated her chair towards you. "We won't get mad at you." You cocked your head to the side. You never have an opinion, so you shrugged.

"I would like to welcome you to UA personally." The white creature continued. "We will pick up on your learning-" He cut himself off as your eyes lit up. You get to learn! His face transitioned to a smile. "You will continue the learning you missed, and our teachers will help you control your powers." The last bit was confusing. You knew how to control your powers... most of the time.

"I get to learn?" You asked with a small smile and redirecting yourself. All Might smiled at the change in demeanor. He noted that your personality was, even if fragment, able to be pieced together. The other heroes at the table noticed as well. They knew it would take time to repair your mind, but the excitement you had about knowing you get to learn was telling.

"Of course!" Nezu said happily. "You will be taught in your room until you can better control your powers. You will also be able to see our esteemed students and learn from them as well." You couldn't help but have a large smile. You were going to learn, and not just read people, but LEARN! You couldn't wait to get started.

___________

He couldn't help but watch you after he saw you on the news. He thought you were long dead and forgotten. Nobody continued to search for the young girl that vanished on the night he knew so much about. That day broke something inside him. That day destroyed the caring man that was left. All he wanted was a family and that was ripped away from him in such a cruel and horrifying way. He looked for so long for you, but there was no sign. There was nothing.

To make up for his failure, he started to fight evil in his own way. He couldn't return to normal life, he was dead. He was a dead man walking with only a sliver of consciousness left. Even that is wilting away until he saw you again. He saw you on the tv and knew that was the child he loved so much. He can't take care of you anymore. What he can do is protect the remaining parts of your childhood that you had left. He could protect you from the villains that wish to tear you from society because of your quirk. He was a vigilante and he was watching.
