Izuku's pov:
Day after day after day.
I took it all in.
The name calling, The lies, How my own mother betrayed me.
Every "did you hear about that quirkless kid down the street"
Every "Izuku means deku! You're good for nothing!"
Every sentence.
Every phrase.
Every word.
Every SYLLABLE.
It all mattered to me.
Because one day, a few words would light a fuse.
And one day, that fuse blew.
One thing lead to another, and before you know it, you have the whole country hiding away from you.
So now, standing here, all lit up, with a roaring flame,
I wonder:
How come killing people only felt so good now?
And how do I stop it?
