Ada's Baby

That night everyone was dancing and cheering as the party for John and Esme started

Lola laughed as Isiah spun her around and they started to dance, "You're getting the hang of this. Sure you don't have a gypsy family?" Lola asked 

Isiah smiled, "Just you." 

Lola leaned up and kissed him just as John jumped off of the wagon, lifting Esme down after him as they joined everyone else in dancing

"Oh, Christ." Lola said as she saw Ada dancing, "She's been cooped up for too long."

"I love the life I have but I also want to beautiful wife and a thousand children," Isiah said as he and Lola were sitting at a table 

Lola scoffed and said, "A thousand mini Isiah's running around god help Birmingham. But good luck finding a woman who will grant that wish." Lola picked up a cigarette and lit it 

"Oh, I've already found her," Isiah said as he watched Lola blow some smoke out of her mouth 

Lola raised an eyebrow and said, "Oh yeah who is she? Cause it bloody well isn't going to be me." 

"You don't know her, she's very mysterious," Isiah said as he took the cigarette took a hit of it before throwing it on the ground 

Lola shook her head and smiled, "Careful. Mysterious girls can cause a lot of damage."

From the other side of the field, Arthur almost smiled as he saw Lola and Isiah kiss, "When the fuck did this happen?" John asked as he joined Arthur 

"A long time ago. You just weren't paying attention." Arthur said, "Why do you think Tommy wanted to kill him?" 

John nodded, "Oh right...I'm guessing he changed his mind or my wedding will turn into a funeral very quickly." 

"I haven't seen her smile like that in a long time," Arthur said 

John looked at him and noticed something, "Are you fucking crying?" 

"Fuck off. She's just...she's growing up so fast." Arthur said as he wiped his face 

Polly then walked towards them and said, "How do you think I feel? That's my baby to me it feels like yesterday she could barely speak a word and now...now look at her."

Lola and Isiah were dancing when they saw Ada arguing with Tommy, "Oh for gods sakes. Not even one night." Lola said 

"Your family are a bunch of firecrackers," Isiah said 

Lola nodded, "You got that right. Let's just leave them to it." 

"Lola!" 

Lola turned around when she saw Polly leading Ada away from the wedding, "Holy shit. One second thought." Lola stood up and got over to Polly and Ada, "Now Ada? Oh, I do love your timings."

Ada was groaning as Lola was sitting next to her holding her hand and Polly was down by her legs, "Keep going. That's right. push." 

When Ada screamed, Esme felt her bump and said, "I think it may be the wrong way around, I attended three sisters." 

Polly felt the bump and nodded, "Yeah I think you're right. We should lean her forwards." 

"Come on Ada," Lola said as she grabbed Ada's arm and helped moved her so she was leaning on the bed 

Polly was rubbing her back, "Not long to go now, darling. Push...two, three." 

Ada screamed and then they heard a baby crying, Polly laughed, "Oh well done Ada. Lola go see if Freddie's on the street." 

Lola smiled as she saw Polly pick the baby up, "You clever girl Ada." She stood up and got down the stairs. 

When she opened the door she saw Freddie running down the street, "Hurry up man!"

"Has it happened!" Freddie shouted 

Freddie ran into the doorway, "Go and see for yourself." 

Lola walked into the living room, "I found a stray Thorne on the road." She smiled as Freddie walked in and over to Ada.

Lola walked into a room where Esme was leaning against the wall, "Welcome to the family Esme, everyone's insane. You know it's good to have another Shelby woman around. Ada isn't around much these days. So it's just me." 

"Oh, and you think I'm entertainment do you?" Esme asked 

Lola shrugged and said, "Well you're married to John, either you're not and you will be or you already are." 

Esme smiled, there was then a knock at the door, "Open up! Police!"

The pair walked into the room and got pushed back by Police pushing past them, "You can't come in here! There's a baby just been born!" Esme shouted

"There's a baby!" Lola shouted 

Polly held Ada back as the police pushed Freddie into the wall, "You're taking me away from my baby! Ada!" 

"Freddie!" Ada shouted 

The minute the door slammed behind them Lola looked at Polly, "Mum...Mum calm down." 

Polly ignored her and rushed out of the house, "Mum! Fuck." Lola walked over to Ada who was crying, "Hey, it's okay. We can sort this." 

"Tommy did this," Ada said 

Lola shook her head, "No, he wouldn't go back on his deal." She said but she didn't look convinced
