"he could see right through her"

TW: anxiety attack and themes.

THE AIR WAS tense as the Castro siblings glared the older woman sitting on their couch.

"Now it that anyway to speak to your,Mama?" The woman reeking of alcohol like a natural scent scolds.

"you're a lot of things but my 'mama' is not one of them" Valentina snaps slamming the door shut behind herself.

"Why the did you let her in?" The youngest Castro says turning her attention to Vincent trying to keep her anxiety and boiling anger from mixing.

"I didn't, she let herself in" Vincent tells her calmly pointing at the glass on the floor next to her feet and the door.

"Dios mío, realmente eres una perra loca" Valentina states staring down at the glass before looking back to the women who sadly birthed her. (translation; my god, you really are a crazy bitch)

Vincent snorts from his place against the kitchen opening wall.

"no me hables asi carajo!" The Castro mother shouts standing up suddenly, getting a reaction from both her children. (translation;don't fucking talk to me like that)

Vincent moves closer the Valentina as the younger girl flinches at the volume of her shout.

Waves and waves of deja vu run over Valentina.

"it's our house, you don't get to talk to her like that here" Vincent snaps and hard glare on his face that could be considered murderous if the target wasn't their mother.

Valentina places her hand on her brothers forearm in away to tell him to calm down. Vincent wasn't the best tempered when it came to protecting his sister and it would worsen their situation if he did decide to hurt the woman across them.

"why are you here, Eliza?" Valentina asks again standing in front over her brother.

"I want to see my children,Valentina,is that a crime now" Eliza Castro replies her demeanor changing once again walking towards them.

"oh my god!" Valentina anger bests her now at the facade. She walked towards the woman rage snapping "stop the fucking bullshit! you," she jabbed her finger in her direction "don't get to act like the caring mother now after all you've done to us!"

Eliza's face contorted again "I just need you to come back home!"

Valentina was shaking, her body trying to calm as her anger and anxiety finally clashed.

Of course, by that she meant she needed Valentina to be in Jersey to keep getting the government help checks. Eliza's only care was how much easy money she could scrounge up for her drugs and beer.
