february wednesdays

6 1 3

brick houses
sidewalk snow,
warm coffee
ice-cold toes.

perpetually late,
mysterious blind dates,
loose jackets,
hands on my back pocket.

city glares,
carnival flares,
spontaneous shows,
made me forget the lows.

lakes and rafts,
naked halves,
kissing moonlight,
we waltzed 'til midnight.

the world in technicolor,
that one Valentine dinner,
our souls were aglow,
and you said you'll never go.

arms wrapped around me,
whispering poetry,
February Wednesdays
are made so you could stay.
