Lauren POV

"Well, well, well. It's finally nice to see your face again. I'm guessing you need something from by the way you sounded on the phone." My grandmother said opening the door giving me a hug.

"I guess you can say that." I took off my jacket hanging it up. I followed her into her living room.

"So you gonna tell me what this problem is of yours or are you just going to be staring at my booty all day." She turned around smirking.

"Eww no grandma."

"It got big didn't it." She started twerking it or whatever she was doing to it.

"Please stop." I said shivering.

"Girl you need to let loose. Don't be so uptight. Now what's the problem?"

"Well you know mommy's friend Kwan right?"

"Mhm."

"And you know that she has a son right?"

"Go on." She reached in the fridge getting out the pitcher of lemonade.

"And you know that her son and Kyren are bestfriends?"

"Get to the damn point already Lauren."

I sighed.

"Well I don't know what to do or how to feel about him right now. I mean one minute I hate him but the next minute I'm thinking about him right. But I don't like him though."

She laughed pouring the drink into the cups.

"Ah, you know what you sound like right now?"

"What?"

"A kid, instead of a young adult. Just like yo mama. Every time yall like somebody or they like you, I swear yall don't know how to act. It seems as if you living to push people away and then wonder why you don't have nobody five minutes later." She shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't push people away."

"And obviously you don't know what you want either."

I smacked my lips and rolled my eyes. And before I can finish doing both she popped me on my forehead.

I rubbed the stinging area." Dang grandma what was that for?"

"For you trying to be fresh. You act just like your mother, don't want to listen to nobody." She shook her head.

I looked down at my painted fingernails.

"I'm serious Lauren. You better get with the program or eles, like I told your mom, they gonna start shifting to someone else."

"Fine." I mumbled.

She gave me a look but shook it off.

"What does this boy look like anyway. Is he cute? The only person who I know can catch your eye is Trey songz and I know you can't pull him."

"Really grandma."

"Hey call me Future all you want but I'm just being honest."

I laughed. I should've seen that coming due to him being her favorite rapper.

"So is he?"

I sighed. "I..uh I don't know."

"Now since when have you felt like you can't be honest with your granny. I ain't gone tell nobody, it's just us two."

I looked around as if I didn't believe her. She laughed tapping my arm.

"Well kinda, I guess. I'm not sure." I shrugged my shoulders.
