Lauren POV

"I really can't believe we walking to go see a nigga who got you jumped." Amanda complained as we walked. We were almost there and she just wouldn't stop.

"He didn't get me jumped...technically."

"Um yes the hell he did. If he wouldn't have been texting your ass then you wouldn't have beef with them hoes."

"Rather I was texting him or not, they shouldn't have put their hands on me. Like its not my fault your man likes me."

The smell or rain started to roam through my nose which made me walk faster. I was not trying to get rained on. I was already having a tough week already.

"Oh baby fuck no. I'm walking back."

"But why?"

"Because it's about to rain and he ain't my nigga." She rolled her eyes making her way back.

"But we're practically there Manda." I yelled after her.

"I'll take a damn bus."

I shook my head and proceeded to his house. I turn the corner finally on his street and realized I was only four houses away from him.

God what am I getting myself into?

You just boy crazy right now that's all...

I looked around as if it was someone else with me but then remembered it was my conscience talking to me that's all.

About two more steps and I was right there in front of his house. The car I seen there was his so maybe both of his parents were out.

I unlocked my phone and looked at the message he sent forty-three minutes ago. I was going to reply back but he beat me to it.

"You gone come knock on the door or just wait until it start to rain on you? "

I looked up at his house and seen him looking through what seem to be his kitchen window.

I clicked my tongue making my way into his house. I opened the door and went into the kitchen.

He was doing the dishes and just started to put them up. There was still no words exchange but it wasn't tension either.

Putting up the last dish he wiped his hands on the side of his joggers and turned towards me.

"How you doing?"

"Good."

"Listen I just want to apo,"

"Why did you go help her if you like me so much?" I folded my arms finally asking the question that I wanted to be answered.

"I don't know. Everything just happened so fast."

"Right, fast enough for you to go comfort her like she's your girl." I smacked my lips.

"Well were on talking level."

"So then why waste your time trying to get with me."

This is what I didn't understand about guys. They want you around but they don't really want you. He was confusing the hell out of me and I just wanted to know what was up.

"I'm not wasting my time doing anything. She was just right there and ran in my arms as soon as I walked in the room and it was just like my arms automatically wrapped around her. Lauren you know I wouldn't do anything to hurt you."

He walked up to me. I looked away but my face was pulled back when he made me look at him using his thumb and index finger.

"I'm sorry." He whispered. His lips were dangerously close to mine that I felt his minty breath on mine.
