The fields were too timid to request they be freed
And the heavens wept for the fields and for me
Separate from the predominant breed
"A gushing wound in the flesh" in the flesh
Yet unheard is my plea!
And whatever I bleed
Is pushed by heavens' tears to the sea

Many a tree around my figure, in the shadow
Of its shadow only slightly bigger
For the sun has descended quite low, quite far
Father Sun, the star
squinching his eye
As he watches the farmers beat swords into ploughshares
and one of the ploughshares is I
And around me they sow
Seeds that may grow
And I am the seed they deny with a
"no"

I bow to my knees and prepare to rot
I am the daughter that Father Sun brought
To the slaughter no one e'er sought
The story my brothers from the farm may tell
is that once upon a time they smelt
A reminder of something they thought wasn't real
A reminder of hell
