SHORTLY AFTER IVORY'S NEW roommate alice had arrived back at the dorm, ethan left the two girls alone as he'd rather be with chad than watch ivory slowly break down. it was his fault, he did it on purpose and the worst part was that he enjoyed watching anika slip from ivy's grip.
ivory leaned against the wall as she sat on her bed, anxiously picking at the skin around her nails; a habit that she'd gained since her addiction. a deafening silence had fallen over the girls, making everything awkward.
alice's eyes were stuck to ivory while she silently wondered how the girl was feeling after everything. she cleared her throat as an attempt to break the silence, "so, why'd you move to new york?" alice questioned with her lips pursed.
ivory's eyes widened as she stared at the ceiling, "you don't wanna know, trust me."
alice gave the girl a challenging look as a smile tugged on her lips, "try me."
ivy's head dropped, "i failed a drug test and my parents kicked me out. i don't even remember relapsing but they didn't care," her eyes became glossy as she continued to explain her story. "my dad called me a junkie and he said i was probably too 'coked out' to remember."
