It felt like suffocating, like water filling my lungs.
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't take a breath.
My chest began to burn and my head began to throb.
The darkness took over and my life started to fade.
But before I took my last breath, I was pulled out and could breathe again.
Maybe it was your blue eyes that captivated me.
Or maybe it was the freckles on your cheeks.
All I know is that these feelings truly drowned me.
The waves of you, they engulfed me.
