The next morning they all Jonathan and Evy were having a head ack because of yesterday as they have drink too much wine while Evy complain about it as they all went to see the mummy they found yesterday when Lara was translating the hieroglyphics to them, "he left a message" Evy said that send a chill through everyone's spines including Lara " it says: death is only the beginning" Lara reads. Jonathan and Evy shivers, Rick look around "where's my gun?" Rick asks Lara "what are you going to do ? shoot him?" Jonathan asked. " If he decides to wake up, hell yes!" Rick replied.
BASE CAMP- NIGHT
" What is this stuff? It smell like our late friend the warden " Jonathan says. Rick and Beni both grin, Jonathan look horrified "you did not?... we're not?!" he exclaims. " Rat gizzards, they smell bad and taste worse, but that's the best the desert has to offer" Rick said as Lara gave her brother, Jonathan, and Evy some actual food that she gotten a few days back in the village they stopped. " Thank god, thank you sunshine" Jonathan said as she smiled before walking with Evy who has finished eating, Rick just smile at his baby sister.
A few minutes later Lara and Evy returns " look what we found" Evy said Beni was sitting next to Rick where Lara sits " you're on Lara sit" Rick told Beni who laughed because he thought he was joking " Now!" Lara yelled making Beni jump up "yup" he getting up real fast as Lara sit down next to her brother with Evy on her other side "Scarabs, flesh eaters, we found them inside our friend's coffin. They can stay alive for years living off the flesh of a corpse, or in this case..." Evy stops Rick and Jonathan stare at the skeletons, disgusted " are you saying somebody threw these things in with our guy, and they slowly ate him?" Rick asked Lara and Evy "very slowly" Lara replied. "Unfortunately for our friend he was still alive when they started to eat him" Evy added, "according to my reading our friend suffered the Hom- Dai, the worst of all ancient curses, one reserved for only the most evil blasphemers. In all my research I've never read this curse actually being performed" Lara said " that bad huh" Rick asked " yes, they never used it in the feared it so. Its written, that if a victim a Hom- Dai should arise, he would bring with him the 10 plagues of Egypt" Lara explained. " The 10 plagues? Like all the 10 plagues you mean" Rick asked his sister.
" Let's see, there was frogs, flies locust.." Jonathan stared.
"Hail and fire" Burns continued.
"The sun turning black" Henderson said.
"Water turning to blood" Daniels added.
" And my personal favorite: people covered in boils and sores" Jonathan finished.
All the men share a nervous look, really spooled. Lara just laughed at them and pulled a meat stick out of fire "Fried gizzard anyone?" she asked. Later that night Evy and Lara sneaks to the Egytologist side of the camp, Lara sees the book under his arm. She carefully take it from under him as Evy bring the key from Jonathan Rick rolls over and sees his sister and Evy staring at the book with wide eyes " You 2 know that's called stealing, right" Rick asked them "according to you and my brother O'Connell this called borrowing" Evy replied " I thought the book of Amun- Ra was made of gold?" Evy asked Lara " it is, this is the book of dead" Lara replied " you sure you should be playing with this stuff" Rick asked the both women as they replied "Its just a book, no harm ever came from reading a book"
