INAYAT POV: -
The chill of the night is pervasive across the city, especially as we approach winter and given our proximity to the sea. I opt for my casual tracksuit, which serves as the best barrier against the cold wind. I let my hair loose and decide that no makeup is necessary. After a quick check in the mirror and satisfied with my appearance, I make my way downstairs.
Veer is leaning against the kitchen counter, engrossed in something on his phone. He's dressed in all black with a brown leather jacket. I can't help but think he looks incredibly handsome in everything he wears. "If you're done checking me out, I think we should leave," he says, catching me off guard. "Oh yes, let's go," I respond, jogging towards the elevator without looking at him. He laughs and shakes his head, a sight that's visible to me from the mirror in the elevator.
He stands beside me and presses the elevator button. I move closer to him due to the confined space and he holds my hand. I look at him. "You know, I have no problem with you checking me out, as I do it every time with you," he says. "Shameless," I retort, hitting him lightly on his arm but he only laughs and kisses my cheek. I can feel my cheek burning and I must be blushing like a tomato.
