"chocolate or vanilla"
Kenji asked me
We were currently at a supermarket trying to get I've cream and other things for a sleepover at my house
Apparently, since we got back from the trip a week ago I've been spending more time with Lisa and the girls than with him
"Darlene pick a flavor"
He whined
"For the one hundredth time Kenji I'm expecting my period anytime soon so I can't take sugary stuffs or I'll have serious cramps"
I rolled my eyes

"I thought cramps was like......... a human thing"
He asked slightly flushed
"Well I'm also human "
I told him like it was the most obvious thing on the planet
"Oh"he said looking down"I thought you just didn't want to hang out with me so you were trying to discourage me but it's cool"
Is he..... really trying to guilt trip me cos it's working
"Why don't we just have all flavors"
"For real"
He asked grinning like Cheshire cat which made me smile....such a ray of sunshine
"Yeah"I smiled "but when I have massive cramps that feel like a truck is on my tommy your taking care of me "
"Sure"
He said picking up 2 tubs of extra large ice cream
"Do we need that much"I asked already feeling the cramps
"Yeah duh"
He said it like it was the most obvious thing on the planet

At home,I was greeted by an empty house much to my delight
On Fridays my dad usually goes to my mom's grave to spend the night
So he probably won't meet Kenji.
I directed Kenji on where to put our things while I went to my room to make sure it was tidy, change out of my clothes to something comfy and also drop our bags
When I was done,I made my way downstairs only to behold the sight of my dad and Kenji conversing.
I could feel my heart beating uncontrollably
He wasn't supposed to be here, he never comes home from work on Friday,he goes to meet my mom directly from work
Why is he here
I inhaled shakily making my way down the stairs
"He dad"
I said in a small voice
"Hey"he smiled "you never told me we were having a guest today"
"Yeah sorry totally skipped my mind,he's actually my best friend and we wanted to have a sleep over here I hope that's okay"
"Absolutely"
"So...why are you here"I asked
"I got Chinese on my way to see your mom so I decided to make a quick stop and give you some since I got extra and I noticed you've been loosing weight lately"
"Oh"I said in a small voice
I could feel Kenji looking at the both of us,bro probably has a million questions for us
"Yeah any ways have fun"he said going out the door
I released a breathe I didn't know I was holding
"Okay I know I might look like the dumbest person in the room but Dee what's up with you    guys"
Ken asked
"Drop it"
Was my quick reply.
I do not want to talk about my family with anybody
"Okay"he said raising up his hands in a form of surrender
"The food is in the microwave"he said "we'll have it with what we got "
"Sure I'll go select a movie what do u want to watch"I asked him
"Urghh let's watch some c-dramas"
I made a face that said really
"What they make nice stuffs cut me some slack will ya"
He said in a defensive manner
I chuckled going to my tv
After picking a serie( the name's Miss the dragon)
We sat down and began devovouring our food

"Long yan is Soo cute when he saves ayu"
I said
"Yeah wish I can find that typa love "
Kenji said in a wishful tone
I rolled my eyes at him
"Sheesh dude you're just seventeen "
"I'm actually eighteen "
"What!" I asked surprised
"Okay you got me  I'm nineteen "
"What! I thought you were seventeen"I said
"Wait you didn't know I thought I told you cos every body knows"
I suddenly felt guilty for not knowing his age
"But you're in eleventh grade"
I said "your like a whole grade behind"
"I haven't told anyone this but I kinda dropped outta school for a year so that's why I got transferred to this school I was supposed to go through twelfth grade cos that was what I missed but the school said I should redo Eleventh grade"he said with an eye roll at the end
"Wow"I said
"I hope this doesn't make you see me or treat me differently"he asked
"Naaa if I was you I would probably ditch school altogether not like it's useful anyway"
"Well I want to besides that's how I met someone as wonderful as you" he said with a smile to which I returned
"Now let's watch another one"
He said
And that was how we spent the night
Watching movies and learning about each other
On Saturday Kenji ate with my dad and I
He seems to have a good relationship with him
Then he went home on Sunday much to my delight

It's a Monday
Two periods after lunch and I'm in the nurses office cursing out Kenji out
