Why did I let him talk me into this

He asked referring to the fact that I was pacing "well....turn around I need to shift"
"Why?"I asked him
We're wolves seeing people naked is a normal thing. I heard there was a pack that had a ceremony were no one wears clothes but I'm not about to scar my brain so I obeyed
"Why are you shifting"
"Cos we need to get there ASAP it's almost time"
"This is a bad idea... what if they smell us... what if he smells us"

He replied making me roll my eyes. That's never gonna happen

"Well if you would stop worrying about nothing you'll notice that it isn't windy and please girl we all know you're mated to him"
"First of all I'm not worrying about nothing....I'm being cautious...I wanna live a long life thank you very much...number two...by we do u mean you cos you're on your own bruv and you better not be doing something stupid behind my back cos I swear if you are I'll kill you ... number three girl...for real dude are you gay or something"

And he mimicked me

And he barked
I turned around to meet the most beautiful wolf ever
His wolf was a mix between brown and black with white here and there. Might I add he was huge...he kinda reminded me of a bear
His wolf circled me while sniffing
"Awwn you're Soo cute"I smiled "I'll call you teddy cos you look like a bear and your stupid partner never told me you're name"to this he growled and barked
"You like the name"he barked showing his approval
It's official I love his wolf
"Let's go "
And with that we were off

After Kenji put on some clothing we found a spot to hide directly facing the spot where he was supposed to shift
Thank goodness there is no wind
But still I couldn't stop worrying
Everything is bound to go wrong today
Kenji put a reassuring hand on my back and this helped me a little

And then it was time
The first crack of his bone had my heart beating like crazy
I could see the pain etched on his face
The next one had him on his knees screaming . My heart couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to run to him. I wanted to hold him. I wanted to comfort him .
Kenji sensing my emotions holds my hand, shaking his head to mean no.
Not being able to hold it anymore I buried my face in his shoulder
A few minutes later the sounds seized. I willed my self to look and the sight took my breath away
Mika.is.magnificent
His wolf was black with glowing amber eyes
And then he howled
A leader has been born
The whole pack consisting of the males and mated females shifted joining in the howl
I wish I had my wolf so that I can join in this beautiful symphony that Mika's leading
Then the most stupid thing happened
The wind picked up going from my direction to his
I saw him take a sniff,his head whipping in my direction
Our eyes connected
Oh no
I couldn't think, I couldn't move, I couldn't breathe
I could feel Kenji trying to tell me something but I couldn't focus on his voice
Suddenly Kenji dragged me taking off with full speed and I was broken from my trance
"Holy shit Mika's my mate ...the soon to be alpha is my mate "
"Yeah and he's hot on our trail "
"Put me down "I said "we need to split up "
"Okay"he said quickly dropping me and then we took off in opposite directions
Navigating through trees and shrubs
To be honest I don't know what I'm doing or where I'm going. I just have to run
Now I feel splitting wasn't a good idea
One minute later and my doubt was confirmed when Mika had me pinned to a tree
