"JENNY, JENNY WAKE UP.'
I hear Ponyboy's voice say as I feel someone shaking me, guessing it was Ponyboy. I opened my eyes to see Ponyboy's green ones. I sat up and looked around rubbing my eyes.
"Why did you wake me up?" I say looking at him.
"They're gone." Ponyboy says.
"Who's gone?" I say in confusion.
"Johnny and Maxine, I woke up from this strange dream I had and looked around and didn't see them." He says.
"Wait strange dream?" I say.
"Yeah, I dreamt that Darry was here but then when I looked again he was gone." He says.
"Weird." I say. "But back on subject in hand, where could they have gone this early?"
I really didn't know if it was early or not. But by the looks of it, it looked to be early morning.
"Don't know." Ponyboy says standing up, and I do the same dusting my pants off.
We both walk around the church for a second or two when I look down to see something printed in the dirt. I quickly call Ponyboy over and we both read it.
"Went to get supplies, be back soon :) -Johnny and Maxine"
I felt a little dumb for not guessing that they probably just went out early to get supplies. Me and Ponyboy stand there over the message before he spoke again.
"What should we do now?" Ponyboy asks turning to me.
"How about we go look around, see what our surroundings are." I suggest.
"Sounds good to me." Ponyboy answers back to me.
We decide to go outside first to just have a little walk around. Once we stepped outside I saw the acres of land infront of us, also noticing a water pump just a couple feet from the church. We both walk over to it to check if it works. Which it did, thank god.
We both take turns taking drinks of water from the spout. It felt nice since I haven't drunken anything since the drive in. I also put some water on my face, so did Ponyboy. When I did I looked a him for a good second before I got caught.
