my second class of the day finally ended and I'm currently heading out of the classroom with Diane
we're both taking an LLM course which is Law and thankfully we both have the same given schedule, although she only has three or two days per week so there might be a day when she's not here with me
just after a few hours inside the university, I was confused as to why there were lots of students staring or watching me
I glanced at the side of the hallway to see three groups of girls whispering something while looking at me, I huffed quietly and it made Diane look up at me
" bakit? " She asks as we both walk together in the hallway
" stares, lahat sila natingin sakin. May something ba sa muka ko? " tanong ko at humarap sakanya
and I was confused as to why Diane just laughed at my question and shook her head
" girl, gusto mo punta tayo ng banyo para makita mo ang katotohanan? " She offered and I was very confused about what she meant, I furrowed my eyebrows
" duh, they didn't expect that the new transferee here at university ay sobrang ganda. Meron nga dan eh, isang araw narinig ko sabi pangit ka daw, tamo sila ngayon " she finally explained, making my cheeks turn slightly red. So that's why
" they're jealous? " I asked
"Probably, why? "
"Nothing, they shouldn't you know. They're beautiful too- " But before I could even finish my sentence, I bumped into someone's arms
it was so strong that it hurt me, I stopped in my tracks and touched my shoulder.
I turned and glared at the person who bumped into me, but then I felt my throat went dry
A tall, 6'2 guy stood a few meters away from me, his brown eyes glared back at me, he was wearing, he was wearing a black t-shirt, a gold necklace, and black pants. My eyes stared at the tattoos on his arms
"Watch where the fuck you're going " His voice surprised me, it was deep, husky, and yet smooth.
A voice that I've never heard before in my life. But I scoffed and crossed my arms in my chest, looking up and meeting his cold gaze
"Excuse you, you're the one who decided to walk on this side, rather than on the other side, look, it has more space! " I protested and pointed to my right side, ignoring the students who were watching us
but he didn't cast his eyes off me, the unknown guy went silent for a while before letting out a snort and looking away from my gaze
" Next time, you should look where you're going, not looking somewhere else " He muttered, pero ring na ring ko talaga yung sinabi niya.
All of the students in the hallway with us, including Diane, went silent
"I just bumped into you, why you're arguing with me like it's a huge problem, did it even hurt you? " I continued, the guy licked his lips and looked back at me, he smiled. But not in a good way
I swallowed the lump in my throat when he took a step forward, feeling my heart beat hard in my chest, causing me to drop my both hands down, staring at his brown eyes.
He leaned his face down to reach my height, and our face was just a few inches away. I froze
"Do you even know who I am? " He asks, a smirk forming on his face as I notice his eyes look down at my lips
" I don't need to know who you are " I fired back.
I clenched my fist, he looked back at my eyes, and I could see the anger in it. We both didn't say anything, until
" Dwight! Baby"
I immediately look away and step back, hearing the high-pitched voice of a female, I watch as a Filipina girl comes and runs to him.
The guy named Dwight wrapped his large, strong tattooed arms around her, he glared at me before walking away with her
his glare sent shivers running down my spine. I watch them, as the students in the hallway stare at me in silence
but then I felt Diane grab my arm and drag me out of the campus, I furrowed my eyebrow as she took me outside without saying anything
" bat mo ko dinala dito? " tanong ko, I caught my breath, and when she finally stopped.
She turned to me, her jaw dropping to the floor, while her expression was in pure shock
" You argued with Dwight?! " She asked, I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms in my chest again
" So? Ano bang meron Sakanya? He's just a dude, Diane," I said and Diane shook his head
" you don't understand Stella! No one, not even me, except for the first time, a girl would talk to him back! " She continues, and that even made me more puzzling.
" what do you mean? " I asked, who is this guy Dwight?
"Look, Dwight Ramos is a very famous basketball player here in Ateneo, he's famous and has already been shown many times in TV shows and media. But that's not it, he a playboy here on our campus and everyone considers him as the 'King' " Diane starts
" so? "
" so, all of here knows how strong he can be, no one, as in wala ni sino man gustong makaharap sa awayan o salitaan si Dwight. But you Stella! You faced him like he was nothing! " She says and lets out a breathless laugh at the end
but I won't gonna lie, Diane was right. Dwight is such a good-looking guy
i shook my heads when i realized what i just thought.
