" Dwight, Kailangan ko ng makauwi samin " I whispered, I wrapped my arms around him tighter because I really didn't want to let go.
It was already night when I looked at the window in Dwight's apartment.
We were both currently cuddling together on his couch in the living, he was asleep and had his arm around me.
Dwight stirred from his sleep, he opened his eyes extended his other arm to reach for his phone, and checked the time.
" But it's still around 6, maybe you can here for a while with me " His husky yet sleepy voice requests and pulls me tighter in our cuddle.
I let out a sigh loudly which made Dwight let out a small chuckle while putting his eyes back to sleep
" They're probably looking at me already, " I said lowly and placed the side of my face into his chest, listening to his heartbeat
" No, stay, " Dwight says
almost like being the big baby he is. And I can't help but not to let out a laugh
" If I stayed, ano naman gagawin natin dito sa apartment mo? " I asked and looked up at him, Dwight opened his eyes
" I'll take you out for dinner then " he responded and my eyes widened a bit at his reply
" Seryoso? " I asked and he looked down at me, meeting my eyes
" Yeah... Besides, I'm hungry " He says and I get up from his chest and the two of us start fixing ourselves.
Dwight didn't bring his car since he lives in one of BCG's apartments, the two of us walked together in the side street, mag ka holdings hands as I was wearing one of his jackets since it was chilly outside pag gabi
" Ang ganda pala ng BGC pag gabi," I murmured which caused Dwight to glance down at me
" You've never been here before? " He asks and I shake my head
" I've been into here a few times, with Diane or just by myself. But not during nights " I explained and Dwight just hummed in response
The air between us was not awkward or anything, instead, it was peaceful and blissful.
Dwight didn't want to let go of my hands so while I watched him talk to the waiter for our seats, he pulled me inside
I didn't know na kakain pala kami sa isang mayaman na restaurant, nahiya tuloy ako dahil sa suot ko kasi kung san man ako tumingin, ang yayaman ng costumers na kumakain dito.
The waiter led us to our seat which was on the balcony
and the best part of it was we didn't need any AC since it's already chilly and the view was okay.
I was gonna take a seat but Dwight pulled the chair first, I looked up at him and sent him a cheeky smile which made his cheeks turn pink. Nevertheless, it was sweet of him so I took a seat and he pushed it closer to the table
When the waiter arrived and placed the menu, ng pag ka bukas ko ng menu. Bigla ko nalang to sinara, napa tingin naman sakin si Dwight
" What? You don't like the food here? We can choose another restaurant you want " he says.
I look around the place to make sure none of the people as looking at us
" Ang mamahal naman ng pagkain dito Dwight! " I said
almost in a whisper and he just laughed at me, sitting back in his chair and holding the menu in his hand
"It's alright, choose anything you want and I'm gladly to pay for your meal. besides, this is one of the best restaurants here in BGC " Dwight explains.
I just swallowed the lump in my throat and opened the menu again.
I just picked their carbonara with grilled chicken and garlic-roasted potatoes, and for dessert was their matcha velvet cake. I shut the menu and handed it over to the waiter and he left
I look back to Dwight to see that he's already looking back at me, staring at me quietly with a small smile on his face.
" You're pretty," Dwight says
His words made me blush and I raised one eyebrow at him, but at the same time,
I couldn't stop the big smile from spreading across my face as we stared at each other.
" Can I uh— take s picture of you? " Suddenly he asks, pulling out his iPhone from his pocket
" Para san naman? " I asked and he shrugged his shoulder
" So you can keep the pictures, probably for my wallpaper too " Dwight replies.
At this point lang talaga, kilig na kilig na ko dahil sa pinag gagawa niya
I let Dwight take simple pictures of me, mostly smiling since I know he likes my smile because it shows out my dimples.
After a few minutes, he looks at each other photo while I message Yaya Emy to tell her that I'll come home later tonight
Our food was finally served and natatakam natalaga ako nung makita ko kung gano kasarap yung luto nila. Me and Dwight dig in
He told me his story of how he started playing basketball and how he made his way to one of the most famous basketball players in Ateneo
I noticed that he was just eating steak and mashed potatoes.
" Do you want to taste mine? " I asked making Dwight look at my plate and nod
" Sure, it looks good tho," He says.
I thought Dwight was gonna hand me over his plate but to my surprise he leaned closer to me and opened his mouth
Naghihintay para subuan ko siya. Minsan talaga parang bata to si Dwight eh
I just twirl some of the carbonara with the fork and add it to a grilled chicken and place it inside his mouth.
" Hmm, it's actually delicious. I thought it's just gonna be the same, plain carbonara " Dwight says and wipes the corner of his mouth with a tissue
My dessert finally came and I shared the cake with Dwight.
I appreciated this dinner with him, even tho it was simple and nothing special.
It was just the both of us, enjoying each other's company without minding the problems that surrounded us
