Taylor

"Y/n!" I say in a goofy voice
"Stay. Awake!" I continue in the same voice

I start bouncing her and dancing around with her still on my hip

"No no no no!" I say tickling her sides as she starts to drift off

Her eyes immediately snap open.

"Let me see those pretty blues baby," I say

"I. Need. You. To. Stay... Awake!" I pant still jumping with her

"Ha-," I hear dad stop himself from laughing

I slowly turn to face him shooting him a brief death stare

"Stop filming me!" I chuckle

"Honey," I hear him say
"Just let her sleep," he says sympathetically

I sigh and walk over to sit with him on the bench moving y/n to be sitting on my chest

We sit in silence and I just stare out into the Sydney harbour

"She's so pretty and peaceful when she's asleep," Dad smiles taking a photo of her squished up asleep face

"She's always pretty. She would be even better if she could..." I start
"Stay awake!" I chuckle poking her side one last time

But all I get is her shuffling around, smiling then hiding her face in my chest.

"Worth a shot," I sigh looking back at the harbour

"Taylor, it is only a three hour time difference," dad drags out

"I know," I say rubbing y/n's back and kissing the top of her head
"And it's so early," he adds

"But I booked this private ferry ride across the harbour to our car. It would be nice if she was awake for it," I explain

"Maybe it's better that she's asleep," he shrugs
"I can picture her falling off the boat," he says looking at the harbour this time
"Oh my gosh! Don't even say that!" I exclaim as his comment sends shivers down my spine

Honk!

The loud honk makes y/n spring awake instantly.

"Mommy," y/n exclaims reaching for my hand to hold

"It's just the boat baby," I smile as she interlocks our fingers

"Come on I'll show you," I say placing her down of the bench

We start walking over to the edge of the pier

"Woah," y/n says looking out into the distance

We reach the end of the pier and I stop walking but Y/n doesn't
