"Kya hua Aaj aap thoda gusse mein lag rahi hai?" Vyom asked Karishma, observing her dinner with a nonchalant demeanor.

"Kuch nhi bas thoda kaam ka tension..!" She replied with a soft smile.

"Koi serious baat hai toh apne Papa aur Bhai se baat kar lijiye aur agar kuch Aisa hai jisme main help kar sakta hoon toh mujhe bata dijiye..!" He said softly.

"Nhi nhi...itna bhi nhi hai, main handle kar lungi, khair aap kahiye..sab thik?" She said with a smile.

"Haan..!"

"Waise Diwali par koi plan hai aapka?" She asked.

"Hai na, petroling karna hai pure area ki..!" He said with a smile.

"Ouu... matlab chhutti nhi hai?" She asked.

"Nhi, humne li hi nhi..aur kya karte bhi lekar, akele Ghar par bore honge baithe baithe..!" He said with a sad pout.

"Hmm..waise aapse puchhna bahut pehle chahte the par himmat nhi (he looks at her, arching his brows), aapke parents ke bare mein?" She mentioned softly.

"Accha...hamari maa toh hum jab char paanch saal ke the tabhi cancer ki wajah se hume chhod kar chali gyi (sadly) aur Papa kuch mahine pehle hi..!" He said sadly, tears brimming in his hazel eyes.

"Sorry..." Karishma's voice trailed off, filled with guilt.

"Koi baat nahi.." he reassured her with a soft smile.

"Hmm... isliye aapke Papa ki jagah aap aaye the Bhabhis ka kanyadan karne..!" She said softly.

"Hmm..kyunki Bua ne hume maa ban kar pala tha aur utna hi pyaar Diya jitna Roshini Haseena ko diya...!" He said with a smile.

"Haan, Roshini aur Haseena bhabhi bata rahi thi ki aap teeno bachpan se unke saath hi rahe hai...waise jante kaise the aapke parents ek dusre ko? She asked.

"Umm.. Actually Bua aur Papa dono, Bua ki shaadi se pehle ek hi Thane mein posted the (her eyes widened) bua senior post par thi par shaadi ke baad unhe force chhodna pada par do teen saal mein hi Papa aur Bua ke beecha accha rishta ban gya tha..!" He explained softly.

"Ooh.. matlab Haseena aur Roshini bhabhi ki Maa, police mein thi?" She asked surprisingly.

"Haan, woh bahut brave aur strong thi... bachapan mein, main toh hamesha kehta tha ki bade hokar Bua banaunga..!" He said giggling, eliciting a smile from Karishma..

"Aapne kab unki bravery aur strongness dekh li kyunki shaadi ke baad toh woh force chhod chuki thi?" She probed further.

"Woh unke div... daring kaam dekh kar..." He corrected himself mid-sentence, noticing her gaze, but Karishma observed the sudden change in his tone and the wrinkles on his forehead.

"Hmm.."

"Waise Aaj ka dinner bahut tasty hai..!" He said with a smile, changing the topic. She smiled back, their conversation shifting to lighter topics over dinner.

Four Days Later...

Local Market, Lucknow

"Tumhe pehle toh icecream pasand nhi thi phor tumhe abhi suddenly ice cream khaane ki kaise iccha hui?" Anubhav asked, surprised as Haseena requested him to stop the car near an ice cream parlor.

"Pehle pasand nahi thi, lekin ab hai isliye jaldi jao aur do Vanilla aur do chocolate flavor ice cream lekar aao..!" She said cheerfully.

"Hum ek hi khayenge.." He replied.
