Third Person POV

Annabeth stepped forward, facing the council. The grey decal on her sweatshirt seemed to glint in the light somehow, despite it's drab color.

"That is an interesting sweatshirt." Poseidon's eyes shone as he spoke.

Annabeth looked down and smiled. "Yes, I rather like it."

Aphrodite winked at her.

"Alright, what do you wish to say, Annabeth."

The girl took a deep breath. "You're wrong."

"Is that directed at Zeus himself or the entire council?" Hera asked.

"Both, in different ways." Annabeth answered. "First of all, you are collectively threatening the life of a man who has done nothing but help the world and through the world, you."

"He's a male." Artemis pointed out, a scowl on her face.

"He is a selfless person." Annabeth shot back. "He knows right and wrong, he fought on the wrong side because he was forced to. I guarantee that you would remember him if I refreshed your memory."

"What is your second point, daughter of Athena?" Zeus boomed, his face red with irritation.

"You personally are looking for a reason to remove Poseidon from the council. This would prove to be the perfect solution to your problem, but I refuse to let you use him as a scapegoat."

"Why are you so concerned?" Hera asked. She seemed to know the answer, but waited for it to be said.

"I love him." Annabeth announced. "He is my soulmate, I know it."

"When did we start talking about me?" DJ asked, winking at Annabeth. She glared at him.

"You said the same thing about your World War boyfriend." Demeter joined the conversation. It seemed that she had sided with Zeus.

"Are you all really that stupid?" Annabeth exclaimed in exasperation.

Artemis stood. "I have no time to be told I am incompetent by a delusional girl. I am returning to my Hunters and we will find this male."

She disappeared in a flash of silver that forced Annabeth to avert her eyes.

"Explain what you mean by your statement." Athena told her, flashing a look that said to be careful in what she said.

"My 'World War' boyfriend's name was what?" Annabeth asked the gods, trying to control herself from screaming at how idiotic they were acting.

"Percy, if I remember correctly." Apollo played along, even though he already knew who was being hunted and where Annabeth's train of thought was headed.

"And what is the name of the boy who Poseidon supposedly 'hid' from the council?"

"Percy." Poseidon and Athena answered at the same time.

Annabeth raised an eyebrow as she watched the gears slowly turning in several immortal heads.

"No! He's- but it...it can't be!" Zeus protested, looking surprised and pale.

"He is." Annabeth retorted. "He was partially immortalized, remember? He would definitely have survived the fall."

"We have to call Artemis off, he doesn't deserve an arrow up the-"

"Yes, thank you Apollo." Athena cut the god of the sun off. "But I doubt Artemis will want to stop. He is male and he has evaded her, she is out for blood."

"Well we need to bring him where we can protect him!" Poseidon said.

"Apollo, where is Percy?" Annabeth asked.

"I dunno. Ask Aphrodite." The god shrugged.

"But you told me that you were going to get him if she wouldn't! Don't you have to know where he is to do that?"

Apollo shook his head. "I was going to get the place from her. I don't know where she actually took him."

Annabeth turned to the goddess expectantly. Aphrodite wouldn't meet her gaze.

"Aphrodite? What is happening?" Poseidon asked slowly.

"I've lost contact with Percy." Aphrodite admitted. "I sent him into a domain that I can't reach very easily and the resident goddess cut him off from me. I have no clue where he is now."

"Are you kidding me?!" Annabeth shrieked. "You lost my boyfriend?!"

"I apologize. I was taking him to the Roman camp. I have no clue if he's there yet or not, but that's the most information I can give you about his whereabouts."

Annabeth turned and headed for the door.

"Where are you going?" Athena asked.

"To Iris Message Reyna and get my boyfriend back."

She stormed out. Footsteps followed her.

"Hey, wait up!" DJ called, running after her.

"What do you want?"

"How come you were never worried about me when we dated?" He asked.

"We were never dating." Annabeth snapped.

"We could though. Give it a try? C'mon, I'm better than some coward who ran from responsibility."

Annabeth glared at him. "No."

"Just one date?" DJ pleaded.

They reached a garden with a pool. Annabeth turned to him and crossed her arms. "I'll consider it. Raise a mist."

DJ grinned and did as she asked.

Annabeth tossed in a drachma. "Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, show me Reyna at Camp Jupiter."

The Roman Praetor was sorting through papers in her office.

"Reyna, I've got a demigod for you to find." Annabeth said simply.

"Looks?" Reyna didn't ask why she needed assistance or why she should help, just got right to business.

"Black hair, green eyes, 6 foot 1, name's Percy Jackson. He's important." Annabeth told her.

"I'll keep my eyes open." Reyna nodded and ended the message.

"So can I pick you up at seven?" DJ asked.

"No." Annabeth said.

"But you said you'd consider-"

"I did. The answer is no."

Annabeth started to walk off, calling over her shoulder, "See you around!"

She frowned. "On second thought, no I won't. Bye, DJ!"

The immortal son of Poseidon scowled. "We'll see about that."
