"Your 5 minutes are up." Then I heard the click meaning he hung up. I stood there with my phone still against my ear completely and utterly hating myself. I groaned and threw myself on my bed. I heard a knock on my door but didn't answer or look up when someone opened my door.

"Teddy?" Mayrse asked.

"Mmhhm?" I asked, my voice muffled by the blanket.

"Can I come in?"

I turned my head. "Yeah. Are you okay May?"

"I had a nightmare." She said softly. "Can you read to me until I fall asleep?"

I really didn't want to but I can't say no to my little sister. "Come on over here May."

She smiled brightly and ran over to my white sofa. I walked over to my big bookshelf. "What do you want to read kiddo?"

"Harry Potter?" She asked hopefully.

I looked over at her. "You sure?"

"Yep! And can I have a slushy?"

"May! It's 9:00. Don't you think it's too late for a slushy?"

She gave me her best puppy dog eyes. "Please Teddy?!"

I tried to say no, I really did. But I ended up walking over to a pannel on my wall. I punched in a code and a section of the wall opened up to a slushy maker. It was a silly thing I asked for when I was a kid but it came in handy every once in a while.

I took a small cup and made her one then sat on the couch. She snuggled up next to me and I put my arm around her then opened to the first page of the Sorcerers Stone. Around the second chapter May fell back asleep but I left her there for a while. I finished off the slushy and kept reading. Around midnight I started to feel tired myself so I took Mayrse to bed and climbed into my own. I picked up my phone and stared at it but off course there were no messages, well at least not from anyone I cared about. I felt like screaming or punching a wall but I settled for punching my pillow.
I had finally gotten him. I was actually happy for once in my life like the missing piece had clicked into place and now I screwed it up.

I groaned and stared at my ceiling.

Sunday went by super fast and I was left with a big decision on Monday. To school or not to school. I decided to not school. Seeing Johan, being bombarded by Jake who, aged this was just a strong suspicion, told Johan about Alex. I didn't want to face her either. She was devastated when I ended it with her. And if course asked the question I feared she would..."You found your soulmate? Who is it?" I couldn't tell her and made some hasty excuse to leave.

Now I was in the mood for something. I called one of my friends.
"Hey Michael," I said when he answered, "Do you still have those fake ID's?"

"Yeah, what for?"

"I need to blow off some steam. Maybe get a few drinks."

"What about school Ted? You've been serious about it the last few weeks, being all studious. Now you just want to blow it off?"

Did he just say studious? I had to check the phone to make sure I was talking to Michael.

"It's not your place to worry about my motives Mike. You in or not?"
