Ahh! Im so so so sorry it took so long for me to upload a new chaper! I had writers block and could not think of anything to write, and i have a lot of shit going on right now ^_^ but anyways i hope you like it! :D

I sat there on the bed, leaning against the headboard. Looking at my love, Nicole, sleeping. Her chest slowly rising, and falling in a gentle rhythm. What she said to me last night, still running through my mind.

“I’m never going to leave you, ace. I love you” I still heard her whisper those words, like she just said it just then. I now know how much she really loves me, and she won’t ever betray or leave me. Leaning over slightly, I place a gentle kiss on her forehead, and got out of bed. I walked over quietly to the dresser, and pulled out a plain black t shirt and a pair of blue jeans. Silently, I pulled on my clothes, and left the room to let Nicole sleep.

As I walked into the living room, I froze as I heard knocking on my front door. Nobody lives within miles of here, who could it be? I slowly made my way to the front door, and peeked through the peephole. What I saw nearly made my heart stop, standing outside on my porch was a cop. I ran quietly back into the bedroom to see Nicole still sleeping. I grabbed my gun out of under the mattress, and made my way back to the front door as he knocked louder this time.

“Who is it?” I called calmly.

“I’m from the White County sheriff’s department.”

“Hold on one second, I need to get decent. What is it that you need?”

“We’re investigating in a kidnapping” he said slowly. I put the gun in the back of my jeans, and waited a couple seconds before opening the door.

The sheriff looked me up and down suspiciously, before locking eyes with me.

“Come in, sir” I said politely

He walked in, and started speaking about their investigation. “The kidnapper seems to have left the country, and took his victim with him. He killed a local man who owned a gas station a couple hours from here. ” he said while he walked deeper into the house, with his back towards me.

I pulled my gun out, and clicked the safety off. The sheriff’s whole body went rigid as he slowly turned around. “Put the gun down, son.”

“Shut up” I snap. “You’re not going to take Nicole away from me, ever! I would die before I let that happen. ” I said and pulled the trigger. The bullet went straight into his chest, he looked at me with horror filled eyes. His hands flew up to his chest, the blood seeping through his wound, and staining the front of his shirt. His knees buckled and he fell to the floor. Gasping for breath, he tried to speak. Blood dripping from the corners of his mouth he managed to choke out “They’ll find you.” With those last words, he died.

Nicole’s screams filled my ears, my eyes snapped over to her. I clicked the safety back off and shoved the gun back into my jeans, and rushed over to her side grabbing her into a hug, as she screamed.

“Shh. Nicole, stop screaming” I told her calmly as I shook her gently. Her screams faded, and her eyes snapped to mine.

“Why did you do this?” she whispered.

“I did it for you, my love. He came to take you away, I couldn’t let that happen.” I looked into her eyes, as the look of understanding filled them.

“But did you have to kill him?” she asked quietly.

“It was the only way my dear” I said as I held her to my chest tighter.

When I finally calmed Nicole down enough, I sent her back into her room so I could clean up the mess.

I grabbed a couple of sheets out of the hallway closet, and then grabbed trash bags from the kitchen. I shoved half of his body into a trash back, and then I shoved the upper part of his body in to the next bag, and then rolled him up with the sheets. I dragged his body by the back door, and made my way back into the living room to clean up the blood, before it stained the hardwood floor.

As I cleaned, I kept on thinking of killing the sheriff. I had to kill him. If I didn’t he would of found out it was me, and he would of taken Nicole away from me. I couldn’t let that happen. So I had to kill him.  After I was done cleaning up his blood, I dragged his body into the back. I walked over to the shed, and grabbed a shovel, and with that I started digging his grave. No one will ever find out that I killed him.

I dumped his body into the hole, perfect fit, I thought. Once all the dirt was back into the hole, I patted it down making sure it didn’t look that suspicious.

“Goodbye sheriff” I said as I walked away.
