"Go out with me, will ya?"

Serena just stared at him blankly. Her brain was repleted with questions, and most of all, she was extremely confused.

Ash was grinning like usual, but she could see the light shining in his hazel eyes. It was genuine, unlike his mysterious glint or exaggerated grins. As far as the honey haired girl could tell, he was being serious.

Which made it even more confusing.

Serena pondered. She couldn't think of any reasons why Ash Ketchum, the heart throb of the school—the one that was never in a single relationship would be asking her out. After all, it's only been a day since they actually known each other which meant that they barely know each other. And most of all, why her? The school's heartthrob who never dated anyone was asking a girl he only met for a day for a date? The top student cringed.

The irony was real.

"So?" Ash leaned forward, causing Serena to do the exact opposite. The honey blond girl gulped nervously. At this rate he was going to force her to answer his unreasonable question.

"Why me? I thought you never dated anyone before?" Her eyes darted in all directions, trying to change the topic. The heartthrob just shrugged nonchalantly.

"I never dated someone," he admitted, "but that doesn't mean I'm not planning to. And plus, I've taken a interest in you."

Serena sighed in defeat. She didn't know what that meant, nor does she ever want to. The boy obviously was not planning to let go of the conversation.

She took a quick glimpse at the clock. An hour just passed, meaning the her detention class was over. With that, Serena did the one thing that she always does when it came to situations like this.

She ran.

Serena spun her body around 180 degrees towards the door. Ash just looked at her in both anticipation and excitement, as if he was waiting for her to make a move. Without a moment wasted, she jerked up from the seat and made a dash towards the door, running right pass Ash.

"Oi oi, you're seriously running?" She heard the raven haired boy comment behind her. But she didn't care.

The honey haired girl ran. She ran out the detention room, past many classrooms, and travelled between halls. This was how she always dealt with problems, and before she knew it, it has became a habit.

Although she was running away, Serena didn't think it was a bad thing. If she had to make a decision in a situation, one would be right and the other would be the wrong one. The chance of picking the right one would be 50-50. But if she picked the wrong one, there would be consequences. Depending on the situation, how serious the consequence would be will also vary.

So why not just evade the whole problem?

The blaring bell echoed through the school, signalling that school have ended. The honey haired girl snuck a glance behind her to see if Ash was chasing after her.

No one was there.

Sighing in relief, she slid down against the wall and took consecutive huge breaths to calm herself. She shook her head at how crazy her day was. After calming her heartbeat, Serena stood up and pulled her hair up in a ponytail.

"Guess I'll go home."

"Woah woah, not so fast."
