Opposites Attract

Chapter 12 ★彡

The door flung open and Ash Ketchum made his entrance into the classroom.

The fangirls screamed in excitement.

Serena buried her face in her book.

Her eyes was secretly fixed on the heartthrob who strode over to where Gary sat and started choking him while ruffling his hair. She and Ash made eye contact and Serena instinctively averted her eyes.

Things have gotten kind of awkward between them. Serena realized that she had fallen for the raven haired boy, but now what? She couldn't just go up to him and confess her love, that would be wrong in every way. She groaned in frustration.

Out of everyone, why does it have to be him?

"Yo otaku-chan~!" Ash called from across the room, pulling her out of her thoughts. "C'mere! You gotta hear this!"

Serena walked to the raven haired boy as the whole class had their eyes on her. Well, aparently she was the only one who thought that things were awakened between them. She wondered he could act so casual.

"Apparently Oak Tree here got himself a new girlfriend while I was gone," he stated to the honey haired girl.

"Wait, what's happening?" Serena blinked in confusion. She glared at Gary, who held his hands up in defence.

"Dawn came up to me today and told me to meet her at the back of the school after school today to hear her answer," he explained, pulling Ash's hands off him.

"Not bad Gary, that's good for you!" She said with a smile.

"Not really," the mahogany haired boy shook his head. "She might be there to reject me."

Ash rested his arm on the table and leaned forward. "What are you getting all worried about? There's always other girls who's head over heels over you."

Serena elbowed him in the stomach.

"Hey, I actually love Dawn and is serious about her, alright?" Gary crossed his arms.

"I'll give you some points for that," Ash applauded dramatically. "Mr Playboy is all grown up!"

"Hilarious," He rolled his eyes, "but I could say the same to you, Mr Heartthrob."

"What do ya' mean?" Ash looked at him, confused. He looked at Serena, who was staring at him and gave her a grin.

"See? That's exactly what I meant by that." Gary smirked.

Serena blushed. She's aware of her liking towards the raven haired boy, but there's one thing she's unsure of.

Does he like her back?

Second class of the day was history. She walked in the class and sees Dawn and Ash. The three of them sat at a table by the back of the room.

"Yo, otaku-chan and otaku-chan's friend," Ash waved.

"Yo, Serena and Serena's future husband," Dawn mocked with a grin.

Serena's face reddens as she takes the blue haired girl's arm and drags her to a corner, leaving poor Ash alone at the table.
