"Come on don't you die on me!" I yelled as I continued to clean his wounds.

His heart rate was slowing down and was currently at 38.

I still had time.

"Please August. Please."

I patched up the wound, stitching him up and cleaned the blood from his chest and the back of his head.

His heart rate dropped to 23.

I just knew it was over.

"Dr. Zula." My assistant asked.

"No- no. I can save him." I said as I kept stitching him.

"I just need more blood. His blood type is 0-"

"Do you really think he's going to make it?" He asked.

"Of course he is now go find his family to donate some dame blood!" I yelled at him.

I was frustrated and dizzy.

The smell of the blood was making me extremely nauseous and this never happened before.

"Come on baby. You got this. I promise I'll love you and we can get back together if you pull through for me." I whispered hoping that'll he'll get better.

It's all my fault.

I should've had killed Riley instead of letting him force me to stay in the room.

"His brother Travis is the same blood type as him." My assistant said.

"Get Travis to the donating room and make sure you check his blood to make sure he's clean." I said.

I'm not trying to sound stuck up but Travis gets around, and I'll be damned if August was to catch anything.

I stared at the two bullets on the table and got angry all over again.

August was lucky that the bullet that hit his chest didn't hit anything serious, but he lost a great amount of blood.

"I love you so much August." I said as his heart rate decreased to 10.

I cried so hard. I walked out of the room while the other nurses took care of him.

Dropping to my knees, I let out a scream.

I never broke down like this.

I loved that man and now he's gone.

Why does every man I love leave me?

Is it karma for my old ways? Or am I doing something wrong?

"Kaya?" A voice said.

I looked up to see his mother and Mel.

"He's gone isn't he?" Mel sniffed.

I nodded my head as tears continued to run down my face.

Mel punched a hole in the wall as his mom broke down into sobs.

"This is all your fault you stupid bitch!" Another woman's voice said snapping me out of my break down.

I looked up to see that girl from the club.

She ran at full speed at me and pushed me on my back since I was already on the floor.

She started to throw punches at me. At first I felt like I deserved it, but being who I am, I reversed the position and started to punch her back.

My punches were hard. I was taking my anger out on her and I didn't notice I was that angry until I started to bang her head against the floor.

"Kaya!" Travis yelled picking me up from her. "Calm down."

The security guard escorted her out and I was taken to a isolated room.

"Babygirl look at me." Mel said as Travis put me down.

I was still shaking from the anger and shock of August being gone.

"It's all my fault." I cried.

"No. It's not." Travis said. "My bruda gon pull thru dis."

"So get ya self togetha'." Mel said.

I nodded and they both pulled me into a hug.

"Dr. Zula!" A nurse said. "His heart rate went up and he's responding!"

We all quickly ran back to his room.

August was still asleep, so I knew what his condition was now.
