{not the end of the book, but you've caught up to the most recent update!}
I use an assortment of phrases that have held on from Earth in Spanish and French. Mostly, these are the three main languages of the Americas, but English has a way of gobbling up words. Levi speaks French, Spanish and Latin. Esperanza knows French and Dylan (poor Dylan) is learning Spanish. Much of their swearing is based in the idea that the weather is the central conflict in their normal lives; the thing they have the least control of. The Canary use a little bit of military slang, but we haven't seen them swear as often.
