Let's dance.
I want to see your prance
Over bridges and water,
Crossing dust and mortar
-violin tunes
Curling runes...
Dance! Let's see who has the fastest feet
Let's see who has their maker to meet!
Red silk and ribbons of black
Pressure of your hands on my back
Making shapes where fireflies fly,
Air where no-one may touch us with lies
Free; open skies...
Let's go to sunsets of orange and purple
Take me to cloud skies where we can hurtle
Dance with me, dance with me sir
Dans les lits de les fleures, bien sur!
Twirl us round laughing, tears only sparkle
Never returning to the hallowing dark halls...
Shackles in splinters!
Feet cracked and blistered...
Lift me! To be a silhouette of the moon.
Let's chase away demons and devils and gloom.
Sun to come soon
Sway me until we come to the end.
A bow and a curtesy; our pride we defend.
Then pull me in close,
And whisper a toast
Blistering kiss
And the promise of bliss...
Awaken to find my own despair...
My heart still bruised, and in disrepair.
But then I hear the deadly click,
The sharpness of the needle prick.
And I dance away in your arms to the stars...
With this Moonlight Sonata of ours...
