"One might be in love with someone, but it doesn't mean they would not hurt you."
- Halcyon EvenfallAs usual, I was looking forward for
Aikido training. When my class was
finished early, I immediately head to
the training grounds and I
encountered a girl. She is a part of
Aikido P.E. class and she seemed to be
suspicious. I offered her helped and
taught her how to perform a back roll.
We had a small chat about martial
arts and a girl greeted me. She knew
my name but I didn't know hers. The
girl with me told me her name and I
also noticed she is part of the
Taekwondo varsity team. She was
actually beautiful but it's somehow
difficult to appreciate since I am in
love with someone else even though
the feeling wasn't mutual.
After training I trained with my other
fellow Aikidoka and we practiced
karate. Then she approached me and
asked me to stretch. She told me she
had to go due to her friends asking
her for dinner. I gave her a smile and
told her it's okay and she told me she
would give me routines and evaluate
me every two weeks.
I asked my father for advice and made
me realize something. I was always
nervous around a girl I liked and
usually I messed up. I am repeating
my same mistake again so I asked my
father what should I do. He told me to
evaluate her since I told her she's a
sophisticated woman.
I'm pretty sure she knew my feelings
about her and I realized I shouldn't
act like a fool. Instead of acting like an
innocent child who had a crush on a
girl or a hopeless romantic, I should
go back on being normal... analytical
& cautious.
