"You don't need to fight ten opponents. You just need to fight one, ten times.
- Halcyon EvenfallShe asked me to train with her along
with her Taekwondo practitioners.
After Aikido training, I rested for a bit
and waited for my fellow aikidoka to
leave the gym. I went to the mats
where the taekwondo team trains. No
one bothered to welcome me or ask
me if they can help me with
something. They just gave me a glare
and they continued talking except for
my friend who greeted me.
Finally, the girl I liked approached me
after talking to the assistant coach. He
welcomed me and everyone got back
to their own business and I was left
alone again. Well I guess not
everybody is thrilled about an
outsider joining them. The assistant
coach asked everyone to train
separating the high ranks and the low
ranks. Of course I joined the low
ranks.
They made us a series of kick
exercises and I made a friend. He is
actually sincere and friendly. I told
him about the reason why I train with
them. We practiced different kicks
and even though I am not good with
kicks, sometimes my execution seems
to be perfect. Everyone was suprised
when I unconsciously performed a
back kick. It didn't have power but I
did a perfect execution which kinda
defeated my purpose to look like
amateur.
Training was short because I joined
late. I was going to ask her about the
routines and she was performing a
pumsae. She had an excellent form
and her execution was perfect.
Everybody left except for the four
who were performing the pumsae.
After that, I approached her and
asked about the routine. As we were
about to leave I asked her if she has
someone to accompany her on her
way home. She told me yes so I told
her I'll be on my way then. It was
dumb. I should've asked her if it is
okay for me to accompany her home
to be sure she would arrive safe at her
place but no I had to be nervous and
make the wrong judgement.
