I walked into the store and saw Him.

He was wearing a X-Men shirt with animations on it that looked like it was straight out of a comic book. He stood about 5'9", he had short black hair and his skin was pretty pale.  He must have saw me looking at him because he looked up from the comic he was reading and looked in my general direction. I blushed and stood their awkwardly knowing that he caught me in the act of admiring him.

He then set down the comic book he was reading , which was The Amazing Spiderman, and began walking towards me. Instead of acting like a normal human being, a bunch of thoughts ran though my head. Questions like," What if he thinks you are a creep?" or ,"Why can't you be normal just this one time? Gosh you are so weird."

As he made his way closer to my body filled with butterflies and warmth. I couldn't help but smile and blush. I turned to look at the comic book rack when I felt a rush of warmth coming from my shoulder. I turned around to see him looking straight into my eyes. I was instantly light-headed.

"Um, I saw you looking at me. Do you like comic books?" He said his voice was as smooth as butter. That made me fall for him me.

I couldn't spit out any words I began muttering in gibberish. I just nodded my head yes and my face turned red.

"I see that you are nervous, eh?" He said chuckling. I laughed and nodded. I have never done this before when talking to a guy. I just met him and I don't even know the guy. For all I know he could be a serial killer who has taken an interest in reading comics.

"Here, let me introduce myself. Hi, my name is Gerard I am 25 years old and well.. I like comic books. What is your name?" H e said holding out his hand patiently waiting for me to shake it.

"U-um.. My name is Ava I am 18. I'll be 19 next month and I enjoy comic books as well, sorry for getting nervous I don't usually talk to people because Anxiety," I started to sweat and chuckle. I reached out to shake his and and it was really soft.

**Gerard's P.O.V**

Her hands fit perfectly in my own. A rush of warmth flushed thought my body. This is so different, I have met thousands of girls and this girl is the one meant for me?

"So what comic books do you like..?" She asked me shyly. She seemed to have no idea who the other half of me was and to that, I was grateful.

"I love them all, the art style is so different plus, I love the fact that they try to solve issues in the world," I said with a grin on my face. I was smiling like an idiot, I don't even know this girl and I am somehow falling for her? Has anybody else felt like this? I mean... Frank told me that he has felt this way with several girl fans but, I have never met somebody like her.

"Gerard, Just ask her for her number maybe she will give it to you"

"Don't do anything stupid to scare her away."

"Get to know her a bit before you try to score"

"So, where are you from?" I asked her while picking up a comic book. I wasn't even paying any attention to the book I was too busy admiring her beauty.

She picked up a Batman and Robin comic book and began reading," I am from a small town called Marion."

"Ah, I'm from New Jersey." I flipped a page.

"Why are you all the way in Michigan?" She asked. I didn't want to tell her that I was on tour in Grand Rapids.

"Visiting family," Was the first thing to come out of my mouth.

The next thing I knew, I looked over to see that she had like 30 comic books in he arms.

"Here, I can hold onto those for you," I said holding out my hands.

"Nah, I'm done here. I am gonna pay." She said as she began to walk to the front desk.

When the man finished scanning every single comic book, her total came out to Sixty Dollars. Before she could pull out her money, I pulled out 3 twenty dollar bills and grabbed her bag so she didn't have too.

"Aw you didn't have to do that," She blushed as she shoved her money back into her Batman purse.

"I was just doing you a favor," I smiled and blushed," Here's your bag.."

"Hey, can I ask you for something, Gerard?" She said pulling out her cellphone.

OKAY DON'T FANGIRL GERARD DON'T FREAK OUT

SHE'S ASKING FOR YOUR NUMBER BE COOL

"Can I have your phone number?" She said handing me her phone.

"Sure, as long as you text me first," I laughed as I typed the 10 digits.

"I will, trust me." Ava said walking away, taking my heart with her.

When she walked away, I couldn't help but feel saddened. I just met her, there is no way I could already be in love with her. The only thing I know about her is that she is 19, she likes comics and is really shy. I don't care, I've never felt this way about this before. I can't wait until she texts me that will be the only joy I will have, until then, I will drown my sadness in music.

I pulled out my cellphone and put in my earphones and began listening to Queen's "I Need Somebody To Love" and hummed along with the lyrics. As the song played, I walked out to the bus with Frank, Ray, Mikey, Bob and our driver in there.

"Gosh Gerard, it took you long enough, what took so long?" Ray looked at me with serious eyes and I just sighed.

"I have a good feeling that he met somebody in there and he is sad that he had to leave her.. He's love sick," Frank then stated. I grabbed one of my many jackets and cried into it because I knew that I probably wouldn't see her again..
