"So, what are the orders?" Gavin asked.

He turned around in his seat to face everyone in the parking lot of the fast food stop.

"I will have-"

"A chocolate milkshake, double cheese burger and extra fries..." Gavin, Trevor and Matt all said at the same time, smiling at Max's shocked look.

"We know, baby sis, it is you're usual." Gavin was kind enough to put in. "Actually, I know everyone's order apart from Denise and Jewel's. So, could you two girls please tell me what you eat?"

"I will have a chicken salad please and tell them to hold back on the oil." Denise piped up.

Arching an eyebrow at her, I shook my head and made eye contact with Gavin.

"Can I just come with you instead? My legs are cramping up so I need to get out anyway."

"Sure." Gavin opened his door the same time I opened mine.

"No making out inside the store!" Trevor was mature enough to call out.

We ignored him as we headed towards the place and easily joined the short queue.

"So, have you decided upon any drastic measures your going to take against Denise yet?"

"What do you mean?" I asked with my eyes focused on the large menu.

"It was very easy to notice the death glares you have been shooting at Denise for the past three hours, Jewel. No one, apart from Denise, is blind in that car."

A slight smile pulled at my lips but I refused to look in his direction.

"I might, or might not have, contemplated choking her to death with the gum wrappers she's been throwing at me throughout the entire drive." I admitted.

Gavin started laughing at my words and was still chuckling when we stepped up to the counter.

A young woman turned to face us and sent me a slight smile before facing Gavin.

"What can I get you?"

Gavin thought it over for a bit before starting the large order.

"I want two double cheese burgers with extra fries and one chicken salad, grilled not fried. Then I want two barbeque rib specials with extra fries. For drinks I want three large cokes, one chocolate milkshake and an orange juice." His eyes then shifted towards me.

"I would like a sweet and sour chicken wrap with extra fries and do you have those small chicken pieces?" I asked, showing the size with my index and thumb.

"The chicken pops?" The woman asked kindly.

"Yes, I want that in a large and I guess I will go for a strawberry milkshake."

The woman managed to keep up with the order and read it back to us before Gavin paid.

He turned me down when I wanted to offer to buy my own food.

"Come on, let's take a seat."

Gavin led the way to the chairs to the side and I settled down beside him.

"So, by now you should have decided where we are going to settle down for tonight." I said.

I was trying to keep some form of conversation going.

"In truth, I already called ahead and made reservations for us in a hotel one town over. I had our sleeping arrangements planned before the weekend even started. Basically, that probably makes it less of a road trip." Gavin admitted reluctantly.
