"Hey smiley" I felt the bed next to me dip, notifying me of someone's presence. I groaned in response and nuzzled my face further into the pillow, pissed that someone was ruining my great dream. A warm, big hand started gently shaking me, physically growing more impatient when I ignored their entire existence. "Wake up!" The mysterious voice suddenly yelled. I jolted in response and shot up, only to head butt someone in the process.

"Thick boned asshole" I muttered under my breath before slowly opening my heavy lids to chastise the culprit.

I couldn't help but gasp in shock.

Deep electric blue eyes stared right back, twinkling with mischief and love. His plump pink lips parted into a face splitting grin to show off his pearly whites. His short black hair glistened in the warm rays of the morning sun.

"Liam" I whispered, still at a lost for words before it finally sank in, "Liam!" I squealed, jumping into his arms.

"Hey smiley" his voice was muffled by my unruly curly black hair. We sat like that for a few minutes, me softly sobbing into his shoulder. "Hey, hey what's the matter?" He asked, pulling me out to arms length.

"I just can't believe you're back" I smiled sheepishly. He smiled in response and said,

"Better believe it, baby, because I'm here to stay" I couldn't help but mirror his contagious smile when warmth swelled inside of me.

Liam was my child hood best friend. We'd known each other since we were in diapers, our parents being best friends. As children everyone thought we would end up together. And for a while, I thought so too. He was my first crush, kiss and I was hoping boyfriend. I had a crush on him from when I was nine until the day he left.

In eighth grade, his parents had to relocate to England for their business. We tried our best to keep in contact as often as possible. It started off as video chatting every day, then a couple times a week, every fortnight, once every few months and now we only ever speak when we wish each other happy birthday or merry Christmas.

But now he was back.

Suddenly, the door opened and within a matter of seconds Aiden was dog piling us.

I think I forgot to mention, Liam was as close to Aiden as I was.

"I missed you so much man! But I'm hungry so let's go get something to eat." He said, you earning a laugh from Liam and I.

"Still as hungry as ever I see" Liam muttered, making me snicker when Aiden deadpanned him in response and smack him upside the head . I just rolled by eyes but couldn't help the smile etched on my face.

The boys ran downstairs and I quickly got dressed and followed in suit, running my fingers through the damp ringlets. But of course, me being me, I tripped.

A scream of alarm escaped my lips as I accidentally skipped the second last stair and face planted into the floorboards.

"Fuck" I groaned, grabbing my nose. Hysterical laughter floated through the air, making me turn to the noise. There, Aiden and Liam stood, clutching their stomachs as they doubled over in obnoxious snorts. "Assholes" I snapped but groaned it pain when my nose started throbbing.

As if awaking from a trance, Aiden immediately turned serious, yet caring, as he skid across the floor swiftly and kneeled right in front of me, carefully assessing in my injury.

Leave it to my twin to act like a ninja in my time of need.

"Shit" he muttered, helping me up. I looked at him confused and unsure as to why he looked so worried, but when i felt the warm liquid dripping down my face, I touched it and drew my hand back.

The red was the last thing I saw before everything went black.
