Dusty's POV

I think everyone was asleep. I opened my stall door and walked out to the pasture. I looked up to the stars. I closed my eyes.

~flashback~

"Look up Dusty." My mom told me. I looked up. It was night and all the stars were out. I was just a young foal.

"I don't see anything. Expect for the stars." I told her.

"And those stars are past brave, strong, horses. Just like you and me. They're watching over us. Protecting us from danger. And they'll always be there for you when you need them." She said.

"Does that mean dad is up there?" I asked.

"Yes Dusty, that does mean dad is up there." She said.

~end of flashback~

I opened them. I was still staring at the stars.

"Dad, I know I didn't talk to you much when I was younger. And now that you're not with me. I need your help. If you are up there, and you are watching over me. What should I do?" I said. I know he's not here anymore, but I thought I would give it a shot. I layed down. I promise that when I have a foal, I'll be there for them. I heard someone coming outside. I turned my head around and saw Dream.

"Hey." She said. She layed down next to me.

"How do you like Horseland?" I asked her.

"I love it, but..." She started.

"But what?" I asked. She looked down, then to me.

"I think you and Scarlet are a little too close. And don't you say you're just friends, because I saw the way you stared at her when she said your name earlier." She replied.

"Your overreacting," I said. She glared at me.

"Oh really, then why don't you tell Scarlet about it." She said. She got up and walked away, back into the barn. What just happened? Did she break up with me? I'm so confused. I decided not to go back in there and fell asleep outside.
