Emily's POV

"You had Dusty go too fast on that turn, and that leads to you knocking over that barrel," Dad said to me. We were on the flight back to Horseland. I was holding the ribbons I won. One first and two seconds. Overall Dusty and I placed third. We got third place at junior nationals. When we had landed it was midnight. When we finally got home from the airport and dropping off Dusty, it was 2:39. I climbed up the stairs and fell on my bed. Sleep was the only thing I could think about and it came fast to me.

Dusty's POV

I was so tired from all that riding.

"Dusty, how did you do?" I heard Sunburst ask me.

"We got third place overall," I mumbled.

"They got third overall." Freedom said to him. I fell asleep before I could hear any more questions.

"Dusty, wake up." Someone said. I slowly woke up. When my eyes opened, I saw Will in front of me. I stared at him. He grabbed my halter and he put it on me. He brought me to the grazing pasture. Emily was in the ring riding on Dream. Dream and I were finally able to get along, once she found out I was going to Junior Nationals.

"Hey look, he has bed head," Bailey said to me. I plopped down. I was still tired from the riding. I saw Scarlet come trotting over to me. Sarah got off of her and came awfully close to me.

"Sarah, give him space." I heard Emily say. Sarah backed away. I saw Emily get off of Dream, and walked over to me. She took a carrot out of her pocket and gave me it. I ate it. She rubbed my muzzle.

"When will Dream be able to compete?" Will asked Emily.

"I think soon. She still refuses to jump over the high jump." Emily said. I looked at Dream. I got up and walked over to her.

"Why do you refuse to jump?" I asked her.

"I have a feeling in my gut that says Emily doesn't know what she's doing." Dream said. I thought of something.

"Follow me," I said. We walked over to where Emily use to stay. I motioned Dream to look through the window.

"Who's are those?" She asked. I knew she was talking about the ribbons in there.

"Those are Emily's. She has more at her house. When I first met Emily, I didn't trust her either. Then someone showed me Emily's collection and then I knew that if Emily could win those, she knows what she's doing." I said. Dream nodded. We walked back to the ring. Emily got back onto Dream and did the course again. When they came to the high jump, they went over it. Dream trotted once they had landed. Emily got off of Dream and gave her an apple. She pulled Dream into the grazing pasture.

"Hey Will, the show jumping competition is Saturday," Bailey said to him. Today's Wednesday.

"Emily, who are you going to use, Dusty or Dream?" Molly asked. I looked at Emily.

"I was planning on using Dream since Dusty worked really hard for nationals and at nationals," Emily said. More rest for me.
