Emily's POV

It was competition day. I was wearing white riding pants, black riding boots, and a navy riding jacket. My hair was in a braid. I walked out of the barn, pulling Dream along with me. When we were outside the ring I put my helmet on. Everyone was already in the ring practicing.

"We got this girl," I said to Dream. I mounted onto her and she walked into the ring. We went through the course a few times before it was time to start. I had Dream walk outside the ring, and I got off of her. Will went first, then Bailey, then Sarah, then Alma, Molly was fifth, Zoe was after her, then Chloe, then Tony. Dream and I were last.

"Next is Emily, riding Dream." The speaker said. I took a deep breath. I mounted onto Dream. Yes, I was nervous, but it's because I'm doing a competition with a horse that I don't fully trust. I had Dream walk into the ring. I took another deep breath. I had Dream go into a gallop towards the first jump. Then I blacked out.

Will's POV

Right when Dream and Emily approached the first jumped, Dream reared up and Emily fell off. There was a gasped. I ran into the ring. I saw Emily's dad run through the crowd. Dream was nudging Emily with her muzzle. I picked up Emily, so her upper body was resting in my arms. We were surrounded by everyone else.

"Emily? Come on Emily wake up." I pleaded. I felt tears coming to my eyes.

"Some called 911." I heard Bailey said.

"Emily!" Emily's dad finally got to us.

"She's not waking," I said to him. He looked nervous. I felt someone touch my shoulder. Then they took their hand away.

"Their here," Chloe said. I still couldn't relax. People came out of an ambulance and jogged up to us with a stretcher.

"Clear the way." A man shouted. They came near me. They put the stretcher down, and they took Emily. I watched them put her in the ambulance. Tony and Mr. Matthews climbed into the ambulance with Emily. I watched them close the door and drove away. Everyone looked at me. Sarah went to give me a hug, but I ran into the barn. I heard a Dusty neigh.

"Everything will be fine. Everything will be fine. Emily will be fine. Emily is going to be ok." I said while petting Dusty. He was staring at me. I opened his stall and walked in. I rested my head on him. I felt my tears falling down my face. Emily is going to be fine. She's going to be ok. I hope.
