Chapter 5

Drew's POV

That night, I rolled over my bed facing the ceiling and stifled a yawn.

After Willow left, Kyle brought me home after seeing the state of my shaken body from the storm. Still wrapped in Kyle's coat, he sent me up to my penthouse with an arm over me. Somehow, I felt a sense of security in his arms, which is disgusting even to think of.

Upon seeing my pale face and trembling hands, Deborah dropped the whisk she was using to beat some sort of batter and rushed to my side. She gave me a hug and thanked Kyle, bringing me up to my bedroom. I was tired and cold from all the crying and all I wanted to do was to take a warm bath and tuck myself into bed after a nice warm cup of tea. (Caffeine's a drug, okay? Followed by sex then Netflix....okay back on topic.) I took a long dip in the bathtub, simmering myself in a pool of rose essence and bath oil. Wearing a soft pink robe, I plopped on my bed, my wet hair sprawled all over my face but I didn't care because I was too damn tired.

"Drew," Deborah knocked gently on the door, carrying a tray of freshly baked cupcakes in her hand and a cup of hot earl grey in another. She knows me so well. "I baked cupcakes." She sat on the ledge of my bed and placed the steaming hot cup of tea on my dressing table beside me. I smiled gratefully, taking a sip of the steamy hot liquid.

I love you, Deborah.

After a few minutes of comfortable silence, Deborah cleared her throat,

"You might want to see this." She said with forced calmness in her voice. She unlocked her phone and slid it over to me. Scrutinising my every move.

Raising my brow, I placed the tea back on my dresser and looked at the phone. My heart beat quickened as a mixture of fear and excitement overcame me. I re-read the article again trying to digest each word. I rolled over to my side and reached for my phone.

"Give me a minute, Deborah." I said, before grabbing a cupcake and rushing out of my room to the balcony. I feverishly searched for Olsen's number on my contact list and called him.

"Hey babe." He dragged, I could literally hear the smirk in his voice, "I've left you for an hour and you already miss me. Are you that desperate, Drew Collin?"

Rolling my eyes, I smirked, "Only for you babe."

"Haha. So what's up?" He faked a laugh.

"Go to Glamm's website now. Go." I said seriously, putting Olsen on speaker as I went on the website myself.

After a few moments of casual humming over the phone, Olsen suddenly let out a hearty laugh, making me flinch at the sudden outburst. "OH MY GOD. WE'VE MADE THE HEADLINES??"

I nodded my head only realising he can't see my action. Giving myself a mental slap, I grunted, "Yeah."

"Famous business rivals; Olsen and Collin, were seen snogging under a bus stop after a storm. Classic." Olsen read out loud, "Our reporter, Gavin Leon, said that they were seen getting intimate during the storm. Some might wonder how did this even happen, well Gavin Leon will update you the latest buzz soon. Aw, they even attached a little picture of us eating each other's face off. How cute."

Olsen and I erupted in fits of laughter. Reporters are so gullible. "Our plan is working!" I chirped, "Just a few more snogs and our businesses will flourish!"

Olsen went silent for a few seconds before saying, "Yeah." I might've been imagining it but I could've sworn I heard a hint of hurt in his voice. But, then again, he's Kyle Olsen! He's never sad.
