"Sebastian if you would sit down we could discuss what we found." Piper growls slightly and I give her small smile.

"Sebastian sit the fuck down." I shout and he finally takes his place next to me. "Your welcome." I cross my legs and Piper shoves the papers towards both of us.

"She didn't curse you or at least if she did, she was shitty at it." Piper informs me and I nod. "As for Sebastian." Her voice trails off and I can feel his temperature rising.

"Maybe I should talk to him alone Jenifer." She adds and I look back at him for assurance.

"Jenifer go." He agrees.

He's got to be kidding me.

"Sure Bash. Would you like me to just smile and nod when you lie and tell me everything is fine too? I guess I'm pretty good at being left in the dark." I push the chair out from the desk and I slam the office door behind me before heading back to our house and into my office.

"Hey, hey! What's wrong?" Logan asks and I go to shut the door behind me but he stops me in my path.

"What the fuck is going on? You look like you're gonna do something you regret."

"I'm going to sell some art work, would you fuck off?"

And that's exactly what I did. I sold art work for about a week under the radar and out of Vancouver in one of Sebastian's properties. I may have left without a second thought and I may have blocked any calls from the pack, but it's better than dealing with a bunch of secretive fucks.

It was going great until Logan and Garrett came knocking on the penthouse door.

"We're not talking about this. I'll come home when I'm done working." I open the door and they follow me back inside which I knew would happen.

"Sebastian sent us to come get you because he figures if he showed up you'd murder him." Garrett breaks the silence and I laugh.

"I knew he was smart."

"You ran off before he could explain the results. You left before he could come to terms with everything and to pass it on to you."

"Like he was supposed to do with the information regarding the marking incident? I don't expect answers from him, so I either get them myself or I step away and come to terms with everything. I don't care what he's got wrong with him. I love him and he knows that. I'm stuck with him regardless, so I'd like a bit of honesty."

"I think maybe you should come back." Logan adds and I shake my head.

"I'll come back when I have answers."

"No, Jenifer I really think you should come back." He adds and I look him in the eyes and that's when I realize.

This is a bigger deal than I thought it was.

"Piper is rerunning tests and I think he could use you right now. He's gonna be fine,  but maybe his mate should be there. He hasn't left the house in the past week, so if you could put your anger to the side and come home I'd really appreciate it."

"Why didn't you guys come get me sooner if it was this bad?" I ask while packing up my stuff and shoving my clothes into my suitcase.

"He said that you deserved to be angry and that if I came to get you, he would cut my balls of in the middle of the night. I took that as a sign that he knows best."

"Plus you work best when your angry." Garrett teases.

He's got a point.

"Well this is gonna be a very long drive where you're gonna explain everything and you're gonna tell me what he's been doing and what I can do."

"Are you sure you don't want to hear it from him?" Logan asks as he keep his hand on my lower back and I turn to him. I keep him close to my body before looking right in his eyes.

"I want to hear it from you, because you won't lie to me and because I have a ten hour car ride to cry and work through this, so that when I do get back, I can be there for him."

"How does Sebastian not tear your nuts off when you two are basically eye fucking twenty four seven?"

"Because I love Sebastian. What I feel for Logan isn't love." I admit and Garrett's eyes widen.

"Did you just admit to having a thing for Logan?"

"No you idiot. I think Logan is very attractive and I think in another world I'd be in love with him, but I love Sebastian because he's meant for me. Logan has a mate out there who will make him very happy, but that girl isn't me." I run my hand through Logan's hair and he kisses me on the head.

"I love you too munchkin."

"I love you, now come. You need to tell me everything." I take a seat next to him in the backseat of the truck where I see Hudson in the driver seat.

"These two basically fucked each other in there." Garrett decides to bring it back up and I roll my eyes.

"Hudson I love your brother but not like that. Garrett just can't understand how Bash let's Logan kiss me on the head."

"Because at the end of the day she goes back to Sebastian and is his. He knows Logan would never do anything to hurt Jen or him. That's how he allows it." Hudson explains and I nod.

"Plus she's not my type. I like them blonde and bitchy not brunette." Logan teases.

"Sebastian is going to be fine from the looks of it but he's taking it to heart because the news wasn't stellar. I also think he feels as if this news will let you down even further. That this will ruin everything for you two." Hudson starts this off before motioning for Logan to continue.

"Please be honest." I beg and he grabs my hand.

"The curse wasn't on you it was for him. It was so that he would never be able to have an heir to the pack. He was cursed so that he and his future mate wouldn't have a chance to keep the throne."

"You're telling me I can't have kids?" I ask as tears come to my eyes.

"No you can have kids, they just wouldn't be able to be his kids."

"Well who the fuck else's kid am I supposed to have?" I snap slightly before turning and looking out the window.

"We aren't sure if the curse can be altered or reversed with another spell or if there's a loophole. That's what Piper and the witch are trying to come up with. It's not a definite so there's still a chance." I feel a hand on my back but it does nothing to keep the tears from flowing.

"I never talk about it because it's been something I've always kept to myself. It something that haunts me constantly and that I wanted to make right." I start off and they all stay quiet.

"I wanted to be a mother because I wanted to give someone the love my parents never gave me." I admit through sobs. "I just wanted to be a mom one day. I watch Sebastian's mom and she's everything I want to be and the idea that I might not get that, really fucking stings."

The majority of the car ride is spent in silence as they let me cry and let me come to terms with everything.

"How is he doing? How is he handling it?" I sit up and I wipe my face with the back of my hands.

"Probably worse than you to be completely honest. He feels like he's ruined your future and the future of the pack. You know he's raised as an alpha to only be focused on the next generation and making sure the pack is ready for the transition to come in twenty years or so. His whole life was about this and he doesn't know what he's gonna do. Alpha blood has to take his place eventually and if he can't have a son, the pack dies with him."

"Can't she just fuck another alpha and have his kid?"

"Shut the fuck up Garrett." Hudson snaps. "Jenifer we're here for you and so is the family. Make sure Sebastian gets that through his thick skull."
