The Bet

Chapter 5

Bradley:
Be ready at 5 pm ;)

I unlocked my phone and read his text. I checked the clock and saw it was 4.30 pm so I wrote a fast reply before starting to get ready.

Vanessa:
See you soon <3

I took a quick shower before curling my hair and doing my makeup. I chose a red tight dress with black heels and a black purse. My makeup considered of foundation, concealer, lipstick, mascara, powder, highlighter and eyeshadow. I did my makeup not natural but not too much either, I didn't want to look like a doll.

The clock was now 4.55 pm so I sprayed some perfume before running down the stairs and out the door to be met by Brad in his car. I walked over to him and sat down in the passenger seat.

"Where are we going?" I asked smiling.

"You'll see love. You look stunning today" he said resting his hand on my thigh and pulling out from the driveway.

"You don't look too bad yourself" I said turning the radio on and the song was Shawn Mendes with 'treat you better'. We had it on low so we still could talk.

Brad pulled the car over at the beach and I looked at Brad who had a grin on his face. He walked over to my side and took my hand in his and we walked together to the beach.

"Close your eyes" Brad said taking hold of my waist and hand. I did as he said and closed my eyes.

"You can now open them" he said resting his head on my shoulder while his hands were on my waist.

I opened my eyes to see a blanket with lights around. On the blanket was a picnic basket and pillows and more blankets around.

"Did you do all this just for me?" I asked surprised.

"Yeah, do you like it?" He asked looking down at his feet.

"I love it" I said pecking him on the cheek.

He took hold of my hand and we walked together to the blanket. We sat down and he opened the basket full of food and drinks.

We watched the sunset and I rested my head on his shoulder and he had his arm securely around me.

"What are we?" I asked after a while.

"What do you want us to be?" He asked intertwining our hands and drawing circles on my hand.

"I don't know, but I really like you" I said looking in his beautiful chocolate brown eyes.

"I really like you too" he said pecking me on the lips and down my neck. I pushed him away and he looked at me with a pout.

"Later" I said winking.

We drove back home around 7 pm and when we arrived, all the boys and the girls were standing in front of the door waiting on us.

The girls dragged me by my arm up to my room and locked the door after, while the boys dragged Brad to the living room or the lounge, some may call it.

"How was the date?" Olivia asked me looking straight in my eyes and she didn't blink ones.

"Great, he's so cute and handsome and the date was the best date ever. No one has done anything like that before" I said with a huge smile plastered on my face.

"So what are you guys now?" Olivia asked tilting her head and looking up at Kendall.

"I don't know but he likes me too" I said squealing and that made Olivia and Kendall also squeal.

We walked slowly down the stairs so the boys couldn't hear us. The door to the lounge was closed so we sat outside the door so we could listen on their conversation.

"How was it?" We could hear James ask.

"Perfect. Everything about her is perfect and I think she liked the date very much" we could hear Brad answer with a smile on his face.

"So is she your girlfriend?" Tristan asked curious.

"No, not yet" I could hear his smirk in his voice.

The door suddenly opened and out came Tristan looking angry and sad. He walked straight up and we heard a door get slammed.

We walked to the other boys and sat down. I sat down on Brad's lap and he didn't mind.

"What happened with Tris?" I asked turning around so I was facing Brad.

"I don't know" he shrugged and looked at James and Connor.

James and Connor gave glances over to Kendall and Olivia and they suddenly walked away leaving me and Brad on our own. I looked confused at Brad and he gave me the same expression.

"Why did they leave us?"

"I don't know but I don't mind. Now we can have alone time" he said kissing down my neck and up to my lips. He deepened the kiss and I ran my hands in his hair and down his body.

*cough cough*

We pulled away and looked at the others but no Tristan. James had a smirk on his face but Olivia and Kendall didn't seem to like what they saw.

"Why did you leave us?" I asked getting off Brad's lap and walking over to Olivia and Kendall.

"We talked and we know why Tristan is being like this, but apparently you two don't care" Olivia suddenly snapped at me and I could feel tears but I didn't want to cry in front of them.

"What is his problem then?" I snapped back at her and she looked shocked since I've never snapped at someone like that before.

"He likes you and he's sad when he sees you with Brad" Olivia said calm this time but with her voice raised.

I looked at her and didn't know what to say. I walked past her and out the door, slamming the front door shut. The rain poured down but I didn't care. I didn't know where to go but I walked to a forest. I walked longer and longer inside the forest until I saw a treehouse. I climbed inside and it looked like it was abandoned, but not creepy or scary abandoned, just not in use.

I don't know how long I sat in the treehouse but when I climbed down it was much darker and the clock was around 10 pm and my phone had low battery. I tried to walk out from the forest but I didn't know where to go. I looked around me but all I could see was trees and it was dark and my phone would die any time so I couldn't use the flashlight. Instead I decided to climb back up in the treehouse and stay there for the night. It was cold but I eventually fell asleep.
