Anya's POV:
After school I went home a little bit disappointed, I mean, today was boring; Luna didn't come to school because she had a terrible headache after the severe pillow fight, Roxy was grounded at home for taking weeds so I was lonely.
I had to break up with Oscar because I was becoming bored of him so right now I'm going out with some guy at my school named Jasper but he's worst, he is so annoying and stupid just like the upgraded version of Jake.
So far, my day has been terrible.
I got home and I found dad sitting on the coach.
That was weird dad was always rarely at home. He finds it hard to find a time-off from his hospital (he's a doctor). And trust me dad is very strict, I and Amelia are more afraid of him than we are of mom
"Good afternoon, sir...........um...... did you just get home" I stammered looking everywhere but at his eyes
"How are you Aneal?" He asked me ignoring
He never gets our names right and we are just two but we don't really feel the need to correct him so we just accept whatever we are being called
"I'm fine thank you"
"Go inside the kitchen and greet your mother before you go into your room"
I sheepishly walked into the kitchen and found mum slicing some onion while Amelia was slicing tomatoes
"Good afternoon mum"
"Did your father send you here" she said looking at me smiling as usual
"Well, yh, how do you know?" I asked
"Well, anytime you come home you just go upstairs or casually say hey or hi"
"Plus ever since dad came he's been bossing everyone around, first it was Anya, take my bag to the room and put it on my room table, then it was Annabelle, get me some apples from the dining table, put then on a plate and send them over to the neighbours and now it's Anastatia, help your mum in the kitchen, look at me I'm slicing tomatoes. And the worst part is that he keeps forgetting my name" Amelia complained bitterly
"Why is he back anyways?" I asked mum a little bit angry
"He finally got a week off" mum replied
"Then this will be the worst week ever" Amelia said and mum scolded her to 'respect her father' and 'appreciate his presence'. I couldn't just stand there and watch that happen so I left the kitchen and set off to my room avoiding eye contact with my dad.
I got to my room and threw my bag on the floor and jumped on it my bed. I decided to check my messages on my phone and sure enough I had lots of them but there was one that caught my eyes;
It was a text from Luna reminding me of the party we promised to attend this evening. I thought she was having a headache, I should probably call her
"Hello, Luna, I got your text"
"Yeah, I think we should so go to this party"
"I thought you were sick"
"Yeah, I was academically sick but that doesn't mean I won't attend parties and you know that Kendra throws the best parties, everyone at school would be there, you not being there would ruin your reputation" she said trying to convince me
But what she said was right, everyone would be expecting to see me
"But what about Roxy?" I asked
"I called her already and she's still grounded, we just have to go without her"
I thought a little for a while then finally said "OK then, I'll come pick you up at 9:00"
I ended the call and decided not to send Jasper a text, I'll find a date at the party anyways.
Luckily for me, dad usually sleeps early, between 7:30 and 8:00 so I was able to leave the house by 8:30.
I wore a sparkly, tight, short gown that had a long V for a neckline. Then I combed my hair and wore some black heels to go with my black bag. Since dad was sleeping and mum wouldn't really care, I didn't bother to tell anyone before I got into my car and left for Luna's house.
"Are you blind or something?, can't you see where you are going?" I yelled angrily
Well, I and Luna got to the party some minutes ago. Luna forgot her phone in the car so she had to go back while I waited for her outside the house right next to some people that smelled badly of vodka and cigarette. I couldn't stand the terrible combination anymore so I decided to leave that place and go into the house, I'm sure Luna will find me. As soon as I got into the house, the first person I bumped into (Literally) was Leo
"Princess, you should mind your mouth, you bumped into me and yet you are talking trash, if you can't walk on those heels then why wear them?" He said teasingly but I was angry anyways.
"Shut up you idiot, you are the one that has been following me everywhere, first at Brandon's party, then to my school and now here at Kendra's party, what the heck are you doing here anyways?, what dimwit would want to invite you?"
And as he was about to open his mouth to answer, Kendra walks up to us and pecks him
"O, hi Anya, so glad you could make it to my party, I see you've met my boyfriend Leo, isn't he cute?" She asked me obviously bragging.
Kendra is the 'show-off-queen' of Addison High. She brags a lot about things that did and didn't even happen. She always like to make herself look like the best and she obviously hates me for being more popular than her and even more that I'm the head of our school's cheer leading team. I'm sure she thinks that she bragging about Leo would make me Jealous or something but it won't and as usual, I'm going to tell her off 'sarcastically'
"Yeah, he's pretty cute, that's why I'm so shocked that he chose you out of all the other cute chicks at school" she frowned a little at my statement but then gave a very obvious fake and annoying laugh
"O, you're so funny Anya anyways, where's your boyfriend, don't tell me he dumped you" she said smirking while resting on Leo's shoulder thinking I'm getting jealous. Leo obviously doesn't like her, he keeps trying to shove her off but she doesn't budge so frustrated he leaves her alone.
"No actually, he didn't dump me, I did and I think it's high time you start recycling my trash as usual" I said, she probably won't get it, she's stupid like that
"What do you mean by that?" She said now standing straight
"Update your IQ, it'll help you understand things a lot better" I said then flipped my hair and twitched my lips making her to angrily walk away
"You called me cute, uhn?" Leo said smirking
"I never denied the fact that you were cute"
"Where's your boyfriend anyway?" he asked but not teasing this time
"I wanted to come alone tonight. I knew that I'll probably find someone here for a date tonight" I blurted out the last part, I'm not sure I'm supposed to tell him that
"Then, can I be your date for tonight" he said looking all neutral and still smirking
"My date?, do you realize you are here with Kendra, the one who hosted this party in the first place? and besides we are not in speaking terms don't talk to me"
"I don't want to talk to you in the first place and I'm not on a date with Kendra, she actually just thinks that way because I talked to her this morning. I would have told her the truth but I like it when girls crush on me" he said smirking making me to roll my eyes
"Anyways I only want you to pretend to be my date because I'm also without a girlfriend for tonight, so don't think that I'm into you or something but on the bright side you can get to make Kendra jealous " he said with an unusual smirk on his face
I knew he was lying about his 'without a girlfriend' story, it's just way to simple, he must have another reason that I didn't know about plus that smirk was one not to be trusted.
I know it will make me seem more cheap if I say yes but I'm doing it anyways, not because I liked him either but he's rich, handsome and popular saying yes will not only make Kendra Jealous, it'll also make my social status increase, after all, rumors have been going around school that we were perfect for each other, dating (temporarily though) would be great for MY social status
"OK then, only for tonight"
