Chapter 24 ) Fixing Things

Josh's Pov 

I felt so bad as I watched Angel and Priscilla leave . I know I have my problems but I didn't expect them to have this much an effect on people . I love Angel and my kids . I really do but theres a lot going on right now . With Mockingjay part 1 about to be released , I'm always busy with promations or book signings .  Then that thing with Jennifer made things a lot worse . Truth is I never hit her or harm her in any way . She wanted me to sleep with her and I did . She said we should just start over . I didn't want her that way . I just kinda got lost in the heat of the moment . I told her that that wasn't the best idea and that's when she burned herself with hot water until her skin became red then called the cops and said I hit her .  

Things have been so crazy but in all honesty , I just want my family back . And at this point , I'm willing to do whatever it takes to fix things . So I stayed at home and waited for Angel to come home . At 8:30 , she walked in with my princess in her arms . Of course she was sleeping . I grabbed Priscilla from her and put her in her pajamas . Then soflty laid her in her bed . I kisssed her on her forehead before closing her door and heading downstairs . I looked around for Angel but she wasn't anywhere  . I walked back upstairs and went to our bedroom . She wasn't there either . I checked our bedroom and closets but there was no sign of her . I knocked on our master bathroom door , only for no reply . I walked out of our room and went for the guest room . I knocked on the door . 

" What Josh ? " She asked 

" Can we talk ? " I asked 

" Not in the mood really " She said 

" Come on please ? " I asked 

She opened the door and I walked in . She closed the door before wobbling back to the bed . I looked down at her stomach and smiled . 

" How is he ? " I asked 

" He's kicking but he's fine . I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow . " She answered 

" Can I come ? " I asked 

" If you have time then sure . " She said calmly 

I sighed . What she said was true . I never really have time . 

" What can I do Angel ? " I said 

" What do you mean ? " She asked looking up at me

" To fix this . Fix us . I wanna be a family again " I said 

" Nothing . Its already done . I am moving out by the end of the week . " She shrugged 

" Quit shutting me out Angel . I'm trying to save us . I want this . I know you do too. We have two kids together . And I am asking you what I need to do to fix this   . " I said

" You really wanna fix this ? You can start by being a better father to the kid you already have .  Maybe spend more time with her . You can be home more .  But I shouldn't have to tell you things things . You should already know . And as for our marriage , accusing me of sleeping with other men isn't going to fix anything . " She informed . 

" I will come home more . I will be a better father to Priscilla and our son . I'll be a better man . I'll be there for you and the kids more than I ever  have before  . Just don't leave me ." I said 

" How can I trust you ? " She said with a crack in her voice 

" I give you my word . " I said looking in her crystal green eyes 

" Your word isn't good enough for me . I need proof that your gonna step up and be a father and better fiance " She said 

" Name anything and it will be . " I said 

" I wanna go to a shrink . " She said 

" Okay . Done . We can do that " I smiled 

" Really ? " She asked 

" Yes babe .  Just one condition " I said 

" I think I should be the one making the conditions " She said as she crossed her arms 

" Please hear me out ? " I asked 

" Okay go ahead " She said 

" We have to have the shrink come to our home . " I said 

" Why ? " She asked 

" Because your pregnant and I feel your like your traveling too much . You need to stay home and relax for the health of our son " I informed 

She sat there and there was a pause . It wasn't too long before she broke the silence .

" Okay  That's fine " She said 

" Great . Now theres some thing I need to do . Stay right here . I'll be back "  I said before getting up 

She sighed . I walked out the room and went down stairs to my work out center . I opened the hatch the was under the seat of my treadmile . I grabbed the small black box from it before closing it . I ran back upstairs to see Angel in the same spot I left her . I sat infront of her and opened the box 

" Please accept this ring and be mine again " I said 

" You bought a new ring ? " She asked 

" Yes . The old one will remind me of everything I did wrong . I wanna start fresh and this ring proves it " I said 

She wiped the happy tears from her eyes before nodding her head yes. I sild the ring on her finger and gave her a kiss . Then I kissed her stomach . I'm so glad we could fix things .
