I got out of his car and followed him inside the garage of his friend's house.

They were 2 other guys when i walked in. Adam introduced me to all of them as "Becky our new guitarist". I think it was safe to say that Adam was the leader of the group.

The drummer was called Dylan, he looked younger than Adam and had long hair, creasy hair. He was very skinny and tall but in a awkward kinda way like he didn't know what to do with his height.

The other one played the bass but he said that he could also play the paino if needed to. His named was Rick and he was 17, the same age as Dylan. He was quite short and had a buzcut. His hair was red but i couldn't tell if it was natural or not.

They were all very nice and had a pretty good fashion style.

Adam was the lead singer but he also played the guitar. But he insisted on having a second guitarist and someone who can sing.

I first listened to them play a few songs so that i could hear how they sounded. They weren't that bad, Adam could sing pretty well.

After a few songs they stopped. "I'll get a second mic for you. You don't have to sing right now if you don't want to. But you know, just incase."

Adam stepped into the house which wasn't even his own, it was Dylan's house. But they were all really close so i guessed that they all saw each others home as their own.

"Are you his new girlfriend?" Asked Dylan after Adam had left.

I laughed at that comment. "No, I'm not looking for a relationship."

"Good" he nodded.

"Why?"

He stood a little closer to me. "Let's just say that he's not boyfriend of year and never will be." He whispered to me, making sure Adam didn't hear it.

I dismissed his comment. I wasn't planning on having a relationship and even if i was who was he to decide that Adam wasn't a good boyfriend?

Adam came back, plugged the mic in and said. "Are you guys ready to play some real music?"

He counted down and started the song. At first i had trouble to keep up but i quickly got the hang of it and played at the right speed.

On the third try i was singing along with Adam. He looked proud at me and went to stand next to me so that we both sang into the same mic.

After a few more times of rehearsing fashionably late by falling in reverse we stopped. We all went inside to chill on the couch with music on and a few drinks.

I was laying in Adam's lap when i checked my phone. It was already 1AM.

"Shit." I said while i jumped up.

"What's wrong?" Adam asked confused.

"I have to go home before my mom kills me." I said while i put my jacket on.

Adam groaned and slowly got up from the couch. "Chill out. I'll grab your guitar and drive you home. "

He handed me his keys and told me to wait in the car so that he could grab my guitar from the garage.

I said a quick goodbye to the rest of the guys and ran to Adam's car.

I went to sit into the driver's seat turning the engine on. I wasn't gonna let Adam drive with me in the car while he was drunk.

He trew my guitar into the backseat.

He gave my a confused look when he went to sit in the front seat.

"You don't mind me driving, right?" I asked as if his answer was going to make a difference.

"Nah it's fine. I trust you."

I smiled at comment. I hadn't heared those words in years.

I opened the door as quietly as possible and tiptoed inside. I closed the door behind me and put on the alarm because the guys had told me to do that.

I carefully kicked me shoes off. I tiptoed to the stairs when i noticed a small beam of light coming from the living room.

I took a few steps back so that i could see in the livingroom. I saw my mom next to Ashton on the couch. My little brother was laying in between them. They were all sleeping.

I don't know why that made me so sad but it just did. I felt like they didn't need me to be happy. Mabye it was better if just left for a while. I was only making her unhappy with my attitude towards Ashton and the rest of the guys.

I turned around and walked towards the door. I picked up my shoes, not bothered to put them on and put my hand on the door handle.

Micheal

I heard the door open before it quietly closed again. I looked at the clock, it was 2 in the morning. Becky was home much later than she said she would.

I got up, i wanted to see if she got home safe. I walked into the hallway but stopped at the top of the stairs.

I saw Becky standing completely stil, she was looking into the living room. She looked sad. After a minute or so she turned around and walked towards the door.

I didn't know why she did that. Was she planning on leaving again?

I walked downstairs pretending that i hadn't noticed her coming home.

"Oh hey, you're finally home." I said in a soft tone to her as i walked down the stairs.

She froze, not letting go of the doorhandle.

"You're late." I said wanting her to move away from the door.

She sighed and let go of the handle. "Please don't tell my mom. I just lost track of time, I'm sorry." She said with her back still faced to me.

"Don't worry, i won't tell your mother. But just make sure to text one of us when your home late again. That way we don't have worry about you laying died in a ditch somewhere." I said with a small laugh.

She turned around and gave me a smile. "I will do that."

She was trying to smile but i could see in her eyes that she wanted to cry.

"I'm gonna go to bed. Goodnight." She said in whisper.

I gently grabbed her arm to stop her from walking up the stairs.

"I'm not sure if you need to hear this but your mother loves you very much. She will need you during her bad and good days. She can't do it without you. I just want to make sure that you know that."

She didn't say anything back. I could tell that she was holding her tears back.

I let her arm go. "Goodnight." I said while i turned around to walk to the kitchen.

"Michael?" She said barely audible.

"Yes?" I turned around again so that i could see her face.

"Thank you." She said with an small honest smile.

I gave her smile back. "Sleep well, princess."
