For once in my life i was happy that it was monday. Jack had been so fucking annoying after he came back Disneyland. He constantly told me how happy he was that i wasn't there  because i would've never dared to go in the attractions he went in.

My mother had slept almost the entire sunday so i was forced to stay with Jack.

But the weekend was over and the fun at school would begin again.

I walked downstairs to see if there was anything i could eat for breakfast.

My mom was sitting at the kitchen table with Jack when i walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning. Didn't think that i would see you this early." My mom said surprised.

"Surprise." I said tiredly.

Jack stood up from the table and walked to the kitchen sink to put his bowl in it. But instead of putting it down like a normal person he trew his spoon at me.

"Fucking hell Jack." I said angry to him while he ran away laughing.

"Be nice to your brother." My mom said.

I was about the say something back but i stopped myself, i didn't need to give my mom unnecessary stress. I ignored her, grabbed an apple and went back upstairs.

Not even 15 minutes later Jack stormed into my room.

"What are doing here?" I said extremely annoyed to him.

"Oh i just wanted to show you this." He said with a smirk.

He held up a dumb action figure that my mom got him in Disneyland.

"Get out."

He giggled and ran out of my room. My brother could be a real dick sometimes. Like why would i care about something that stupid. All he was doing was wasting my time with his constant attention seeking.

"We're leaving." My mom yelled from downstairs.

"Finally." I said to myself.

I picked up my bag and walked downstairs.

"Is that really what your wearing today?" My mom asked me as she looked me up and down.

I follwed her eyes. I was wearing my dad's old hoodie with ripped skinny jeans.
"Yeah, why?"

"You look like you're homeless and besides dad wouldn't never let you wear his hoodies in public." She said as we all stepped into the car.

"Well dad isn't here anymore." I replied angry to her dumb comment.

She ignored me and started the car. I highly doubted the safety of letting my sick mom drive but i really couldn't care less.

I put in my headphones in and leaned against the car window as i waited until i would finally be free from Jack and my mom.

Thank god Maddy was at school today. I needed some normal social contact.

"Maddy! You have no idea how happy i am to see you." I said as sat down next to her in class.

She laughed at me. "Rough weekend?"

"Yeah you can say that."

"Ladies in back be quiet please." The teacher yelled at the two us.

We both gave him an amgry look but remained quiet for the rest of the class.

"Wanna hang at my place?" She asked as we walked out of the last class of the day.

"I can't i have detention." I said with a sad tone.

Maddy laughed when i said that. "Well good luck with that."

I flipped her off and walked to detention.

There were only 2 other people in the classroom. But i didn't know them so i wasn't worried about it.

"Phone please." Said a familiar looking woman in the front of the classroom.

I hesitantly gave her my phone and sat down in the back of the classroom next to the window.

I fucking hated detention, it was one of the most boring punishments. I had to write a 1000 word apology to a dickhead who didn't even deserve one.

And to make it even worse the teacher who caught me was now the one who was watching me during detention. I didn't recognize here until she gave me a weird look, one that only she can make.

I sighed and leaned back in my chair. I had to be here for 2 fucking weeks.

When i finally got out of school i had totally forgotten that there would be nobody to be pick me up.

I put my jacket on and started walking home. I couldn't wait until all this bulshit was over and i don't mean just school.

"You're home late." Michael said confused as i closed the door the behind me.

"And you're home early." I said grumpy to him.

"Well i had a long shift yesterday so i got to go home earlier today. "He said with a smile.

I nodded and went to my room.

"Dinner is in 10 minutes." He yelled at me.

"I'm not hungry." I yelled back before closing my bedroom door behind me.

Not even a minute a minute later somebody knocked on my door.

"What?" I said angry.

Michael carefully opened the door and stepped inside. "What's going on? You seem out of it."

I groaned and let myself fall back on my bed. I needed some rest not a deep conversation.

"I'm just tired. I had a pretty shitty day."

"Talk to me about it." He said softly as he sat down next to me.

I sat back up."It's just the basic school stuff. I have detention for 2 weeks, please don't ask me why and Jack has been a pain in the ass lately. But the thing that bothers me most is that my mom is still acting like everything is fine even when it's not."

"Try to see the positive things. Before you know it it's to late. Time always goes faster than you think." He said softly.

I laughed when be said that." Time only goes fast when you're having fun and I'm certainly not having fum right now."

He sighed. "At least try to make things fun. Your mom wants your last memories of her to be positive. "

"I'll try." I said tiredly to him.

He smiled and kissed me on my forehead.

"Dinner wasn't a question. Be downstairs in 5 minutes." He said with a smile before closing my door behind him.

I layed back down and looked at my ceilling. How was i supposed to make things fun? I just want my life to return to the way it was when my dad was still
alive and when my mom wasn't sick. I didn't need time to move faster or to make it more fun, i wanted time to turn back.
