Throughout life we have different situations that pop up and people that pop up with them; from new family members to a new assistant and everything in between. These direct relationships are what I refer to as partnerships; of course, with deeper interpersonal roots come a more comfortable and open relationship but each partnership has specific boundaries and benefits.
Two people working in unison towards a common goal: a cousin who is your partner in crime from a young age; the goal always being to pull the funniest stunt, a new lover whose goal is to get to know one another, a new co worker whose goal is to improve the work place, the list goes on.
When goals and boundaries aren't aligned are where problems arise and the partnership might have to find a compromise- if they can't, the partnership will take a blow; becoming weaker when resolution can't be found.
