Meera's pov

So there we were, lounging on my bed in my room, just chatting about the day's drama. Preeti launched into her tale, her expressive gestures adding to the hilarity of the situation.

"Preeti: You know, Meera, guess what happened at school today? I was walking in the corridors, and out of nowhere, this guy just collides into me!"

I couldn't help but giggle at her dramatic recounting of the event. "Oh no, and then what happened next ?" I asked, with curiosity.

"Preeti: Yeah, just a little shaken. But that's not even the best part! Later, in the canteen, Sanya, you remember her, right? Our junior from 9th grade?"

As she continued, I leaned back against the pillows, thoroughly entertained. "Yeah, vaguely. What about her?"

"Preeti: Well, she comes in with her friend and starts giving me warnings to stay away from her boyfriend!"

My eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Wait, she has a boyfriend? Who is he, and why is she threatening you?"

Preeti's eyes widened in disbelief as she explained, "Apparently, it's our senior, Karan. To whom i bumped, and now she's convinced I'm trying to steal him away! Can you believe it?"

Suppressing a laugh, I shook my head. "That's ridiculous! But seriously, why would she think that?"

Preeti shrugged, clearly amused by the absurdity of the situation. "Beats me! Maybe she's just having one of those days. But you should have seen her face when I asked who her boyfriend is. I swear she looked like she was going to be sick!"

I couldn't contain my laughter at the mental image. "Oh, the drama! I wonder what they could possibly have in common."

Preeti grinned mischievously, adding, "Who knows? Maybe she's teaching him algebra, and he's showing her how to ace chemistry!"

Chuckling at her playful suggestion, I leaned back, feeling grateful for moments like these with my best friend.

We continued chatting, our conversation flowing effortlessly as it always did. Preeti's suggestion about joining tuition classes caught me by surprise, but I couldn't deny the logic behind it. "You know what, Preeti, you're right. It wouldn't hurt to brush up on some subjects, and besides, it's better than wasting time at home," I agreed, nodding in understanding.

Preeti nodded in agreement, her expression a mixture of exhaustion and determination. "Exactly! Plus, my math skills are seriously lacking, and I can't afford to let that slide anymore."

I chuckled sympathetically, knowing how much Preeti struggled with math. "You're right about that. And you know what? We do tend to waste a lot of time at home, either chatting or watching TV."

Preeti's eyes lit up with excitement as she suggested, "Let's ask Rani to join us too! Otherwise, she'll never let us hear the end of it."

I couldn't help but laugh at her spot-on impression of Rani. "You're absolutely right. She's always reminding us of things we forget."

"But which tuition should we go to?" I wondered aloud, genuinely curious about Preeti's choice.

Preeti paused for a moment, deep in thought before a mischievous glint appeared in her eyes. "How about Goal Academy? I've heard good things about it, and guess what? Your crush also studies there!"

I felt a flush creep up my cheeks at the mention of Lakhsya's name, but I tried to play it cool. "Wait, how do you know he goes there too?"

Preeti shrugged nonchalantly, a smirk playing on her lips. "Oh, you know, social media has all the gossip. And besides, I'm practically a social butterfly. I know everything that goes on in our school."
