*Jayon's POV*

Hours had gone by the longer I spent with Dj. It went from 6 to 8, to 8 to 10. The crazy part was that we had still been in this empty cafe, just talking to each other and laughing.

"Hey guys, we close at 10:30," a bald man said, pointing at all the automatic clocks he had plastered on his wall.

"Boo," Dj whined. "Come on Jayon, lets just go to your car. I have to be home by 11 anyway," she said, throwing away her empty tray. We ended up getting hungry around 8, and I offered to pay for her to eat, while also watching her eat my food. She never failed to surprise me with her appetite. For her to be so skinny, she definitely knew how to eat.

We make it back to my car, getting inside to sit in silence. "So..." she says trailing off. "Will you still be going to your school?"

I look at her confused. "Huh?"

"Because we went to separate schools Jayon, you know, before we met each other. That party was the only reason why we crossed paths," she tells me. "I just wanted to know if you were staying at your school, or if you were gonna come to mines this year,"

"You never even asked me what school I did go too," I ask, ignoring her previous question. "I was going to Mojave. I did plan on going back Dj. I mean, I have a lot of friends there, and I only know a couple people that go to Canyon,"

She pouts, rolling her eyes and turning her body towards the window.

"Maybe if we were together my answer would be different," I say, forcing the key into my ignition. She snakes her head towards me, about to open her mouth to say something until she stops herself. She knew I was right. Why would I go to a school with my ex girlfriend? To watch other niggas talk to her? Hell no.

"Understandable," she says after a awhile. "And I didn't need to ask what school you went too. You never asked me what school I went too that night, your friend did,"

I roll my eyes, stopping at a red light on the open road. "I still listened,"

"Whatever Jayon,"

"We're not gonna start this negative shit right now," I tell her, turning on my radio.

"I wasn't going to start anything," she says.

"Mhm,"

"I had fun with you today, and I'm glad we got to talk more about...you know, important things," she tells me, facing me fully. I looked at her while trying to stop myself from smiling.

"Can't you come over Jayon?" She asks, as the light turns green.

She threw me off asking me that. I hadn't been to her house in awhile. It got silent in the car until a specific song came on the radio, bringing Dj to turn it up fully.

It sounded awful but rememberable. I was pretty sure I heard this song in middle school. The repetitive LaLa's seemed extremely foreign.

"I just can't get you out of my head, boy your loving is all I think about," Dj sings along to the lyrics, while glaring at me weirdly.

"Weird," I say out loud.

"I know you know this song," she laughs. "La la la, la la la la la, la la la, la la la la la, la la la, la la la la la, la la la, la la la la la," she chimes along to it. It was beginning to get unnecessary. I don't even know why I turned my shit on in the first place.

"This song is trash. She's annoying," I tell her, turning it down.

"You're no fun," Dj says, pushing herself against the seat. She must have been acting this way because of all the ice cream she had ate earlier. "And you never answered my question. I want you to come over Jayon,"

"To do what Dj?"

"Anything," she says seductively.

"Don't play like that," I warn her.

"I'm serious. I'm ready," she tells me, putting her hand directly on the top of my print.

"Whoa, whoa, Dj chill. You see that I'm driving," I say, pushing her hand away.

"So?" She grins. "You didn't have a problem pulling over before for me to bend down and-"

"Okay! Jesus Christ, I'll come over," I cut her off. She was acting crazy, crazier than usual and I surprisingly was into it. I mean, I didn't wanna go home, and I loved spending my time with her annoying ass, so why not?

She began to clap, turning up the radio once again to hum along to the irritating lady that played on the radio station.

***

By the time I had pulled up to Dj's house, she was sleeping. I stared at her for awhile before I tapped her shoulder, urging her to wake up.

"Were here?" She questions before making her way to her seatbelt.

"Yeah, you fell asleep out of no where," I tell her, opening the door.

She closes the door when she emerges and so do I. We walk up to her door carefully making sure we weren't loud. I didn't know the exact time but I prayed that her moms' wasn't home.

She looks at me subtlety before knocking against the wood loudly. It swings open after a couple of seconds and I see her brother Deon, looking at us unsurely.

"Hey Jayon," he says to me. "Dj, mom is here."

"It's fine," she says pushing passed him while my hand was placed in hers. It didn't seem fine though from the way Deon had eyed me as I was brought inside.

"I don't think she had a good day at work today," He tells her, closing the door softly behind us.

"Is she asleep?" Dj asks, taking off her jacket.

"I don't know,"

"Well, Jayon if you want you can go in my room. I'll meet you in there in a bit," She says, cautiously looking up the stairs.

"Alright," I answered. I didn't expect to get sex from her now but I was definitely expecting something. I started to walk up the stairs, stopping when I seen her mom's shadow. It was against the wall and it seemed like she was coming closer in my direction. She had probably been getting ready to come down the stairs.

"Shit," I mouthed, trying to climb back down the stairs backwards.

"Jayon? What are you-" Dj started, but stopped once she started hearing footsteps that weren't mine. "Oh, shit, go to the backyard," she tells me.

I obeyed, nodding as I hurried to get to the back yard of their house. Thank God, her mom didn't notice the door shutting when I made it back there.
