*Dj's POV*
I lay my head in my arms hopelessly. Honestly, all that had been on my mind while I sat in my unfulfilling English class was the fact that Jayon could have been moving. I couldn't seem to put my attention on anything else besides that and it worried me. What if he really left and I didn't know what to do with myself? My mom still wasn't talking to me and my dad still wasn't in the picture. It was times like this where I wished he would just send a simple text, a call even to let me know how he was doing.

3 years.

3 years that had went by since he'd really vanished from my life. I hated him, really I did. I just wish I knew what he was doing sometimes.

"Dessence!"

I lift my head up angrily. Everyone knew I hated to be called that, and still my ass hole of a teacher loved referring to me by it. I felt like she would try to get under my skin, because I made it clear at the beginning of the year that I didn't want to be called that, but she insisted. I always make it clear every fucking year to all my new teachers that I want to be called Dj. But this teacher, this one teacher was the only one who didn't respect my wishes. She constantly pressed my buttons and I was starting to get sick of her.

"What!" I shout, earning a stare from every student who had been in the room. Her eyebrows rose and she started to approach my desk.

"Do we have a problem Ms.Johnson?"

"The problem is, Ms.Clem, is that you keep calling me a name I already said I didn't wanna be called. You're practically harassing me and I have the right to talk to the principal,"

She laughed. "Go talk to him. I'm sure my husband will be glad to see one of my favorite students," she said slyly.

"Fuck you," I said, getting my backpack off the ground. "I don't have to take this shit from you, you're not my mother,"

"I'll be sure to call yours as soon as you leave," she yelled as I left her classroom, watching students from all directions grin at me. Most of them were instigating with the constant "Oooh's," but I didn't care. I was dealing with enough, and I didn't need her annoying ass in my ear. "Good luck with that," I hollered as I slammed the door behind me.

It bothered me to know I wasn't starting off school the way I wanted too. I had told myself before school even started that I was going to be good, I was gonna make sure I maintained a high G.P.A and stayed focus. But I couldn't seem to focus. Not with the worrying thought of me probably having to say goodbye to Jayon, for good.

This was getting to me. Badly.

I found myself walking down the empty halls once again, stopping in my tracks when I seen Hayden leaning against the lockers with a head full of curls that I immediately recognized. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and the longer I watched them kiss the angrier I became.

"Amber!" I yelled, scaring the both of them.

Their faces turned towards me, a red began to form on them. "Dj," she started but I stopped her. "Really? This is what we doing now?" I started to question.

"Dj, I know how this looks but-" Hayden begins. I put my hand up in order for him to stop. "Couldn't get me so you go for my best friend huh?" I asked, watching Amber's face twist. "No, no it wasn't nothing like that," he says, looking at Amber and back at me.

"Dj, chill. This just happened," she says.

"Amber I've been looking for you for days! And the one fucking time I see you is when you're kissing up on a dude. Why am I not surprised? Why do you act like this? It's like you have no home training! It's disappointing the way you make your mother look,"

Usually I would cover my mouth after I said anything harsh to Amber, but no. Not this time. I was through being so nice to people all the time, I was through holding shit in, because now I knew that people only took my kindness for weakness, and weak was the last thing I was.

"Dj," Amber's voice broke a bit. It looked like she was about to cry.

"Dj, come on, you're being a bit harsh," Hayden spoke, grabbing Amber into an embrace. She pushed him away though.

"Hayden shut the hell up. I'm done with you, and Amber I'm done with you too. The last thing I need right now is this bullshit," I say, turning my back on them. I heard Amber calling my name repeatedly, but Hayden must have gotten her to calm down because she stopped only after a few seconds.

I didn't even know where I was gonna go, Jayon wouldn't be here to pick me up until a couple hours from now, but honestly it didn't matter where I ended up. Just as long as I got as far away from that school as I possibly could.

*Jayon's POV*

"Nigga, I know you don't wanna leave Dj, but I don't think you thinking about your future," Derek tells me.

We had been chilling in my car smoking. It was lunch time and we had a open campus. I got out early, but I still felt like I ran this school. I never got caught for doing anything even before I had a shorter schedule.

"I am thinking. I want her in my future," I said,  putting the blunt to my lips.

"You really see yourself with this girl in the future? Like marriage, kids and shit?" He laughed.

"What's funny about that?" I questioned.

"Nothin' I just think we too young to think we know anything about love,"

"Well, you ain't never experienced it, so I would see why you think like that," I grinned.

"Shut yo' ass up," He says, taking my blunt from my hand and throwing it out the window.

"I need to stop smoking any way. But do that shit again and I'm beating yo' ass," I tell him. He laughs, turning on my stereo.

"Aye, my nigga K-camp."

"You know that's all I bump," I tell him, picking up my phone. I had gotten a text from Dj.

"Yeah you right. You love him more than you love Dj,"

"Lowkey," I say, making us both laugh.
Niggas was funny.

"Who texted you?" He asked, blowing smoke in my direction.

"Dj. Guess some shit happened with her and Amber,"

"Not shocked," he shrugs.

"Imma call her real quick," I tell him.

I dial her number, pressing the phone against my ear. It rings for a while but she answers.

"Hello?"

"Dj, what the hell is going on?" I ask.

"Jayon, I honestly just wanna get picked up. I left school, now I'm at a bus stop."

"What bus stop?" I ask, putting the key in my ignition.

"Yo, what the fuck?" Derek looks at me.

"Get in the back or go back in school Derek. I'm picking up Dj," I tell him, holding up the phone with my shoulder.

He shakes his head, opening the door. "Be careful nigga," he says, throwing his blunt to the ground as he made his way back in the school.

"Hello?" Dj speaks. "Did you hear me Jayon?"

"No, where are you?"

"I don't know. The nearest bus top by Canyon,"

"I'll be on my way, stay there," I tell her, hanging up the phone. Hopefully she listened.

I turn my stereo up louder and rolled my windows down, nodding my head to the sound of Comfortable by K-camp.
