Beauty and the Alpha [BEING REWRITTEN]

Chapter 8

A few weeks passed and I was hanging out a lot with Xander, we would go get ice cream, chill by the park, sit in his car while listening to music, all this while I was also making time to hang out with Kayla, it was a great moment in my life. At some point I went to Kayla's house for a sleep over, obviously I got to see Xander as well but we just limited our interaction to talking. Their parents Mr and Mrs Knott are also wonderful people, very respected as well.

Zayne finally came around but he no longer make funny remarks or anything, He tried to be less goofy around me and I still didn't understand why but I was glad he was talking to me again. This weekend I would be going for a sleepover at Kayla's house again.

This was always exciting because I got to see Xander, and after admitting to Kay that I like him she made it a point to put us in the same room a lot more often. I packed my bag with pajamas and some clothes for the next coming two days, I did this while chatting with Kay, she was just as excited, we had become best friends as time passed and I couldn't imagine going a day without talking to her

"I'm glad you're finally living life grandma" my mom teased

"oh yes child, you can't be the only one having all the fun now can you" I shot back while laughing. My mom and I always had an easy going relationship and she was more than supportive of me hanging out with Kay. Afterwards she drove me to the Knott household and she stayed to chat a bit with Kay's parent's, they seemed to get along so well.

"we have so much to do tonight" Kay said as she dragged me to her room.

*Xander's POV"

Tonight was the night where I finally come clean and reveal everything to my mate, I tried holding it off a bit longer but I couldn't anymore, my wolf was restless and out of patience, I was losing my temper, smashing things, going through a lot of pressure. I was reaching breaking point and I knew what I had to do to fix things, I need my mate and the pack needs it's Luna, as young as she is.

I first talked to my parents and little sister, she was going to come for a sleep over, they would do their normal girly things then we would have supper together, I will give her a bit more time to relax afterwards and then at around 10 pm I'll ask to speak to her. At this point I'll explain everything from the beginning, I know she also feels the connection so that part won't be so hard, afterwards I'll need to tell her or show her what I am.

This is stressful not only on my side but on Kayla's at well, she could lose the only real friend she's had in a long time. Dylan will be on standby with a car incase she decides she wants to go home, I don't want her feeling like she's being held against her will. My wolf and I want her to accept us willingly not by force

I went over my plan so many times as soon as her mother left, Kayla dragged her upstairs while I remained to speak to my parents

"oh honey, it's going to be ok, don't look so worried" my mom tried to calm me

"she's human mom, I really don't see how this is going to work out"

"the moon goddess makes no mistake son, she's the one whose meant to be by your side, be your equal, help you lead and protect our pack. You're already a strong Alpha, make her yours and the rest shall follow" my dad said

I really wanted to have faith, the worst thing that could happen is to have my mate reject me, my wolf and I won't be able to take that. With that I decided to take a walk, I wanted to think things through but ofcourse my friend and beta knew better than to let me wander off in my own thoughts

"penny for your thoughts Alpha" even though Dylan knew he didn't have to call me alpha when it was just the two of us seeing he is my best friend he just couldn't help it sometimes, he had been trained properly as a beta and to him formalities were everything.

"I'm just thinking about Ava, how she's going to take all of this" I said  while putting my hands in my pockets

"there's no denying that there is a connection between of you, even she can't deny that, so start there and the rest will fall into place, if you happen to freak her out tonight I'll be ready to take her home while you prepare to fight for her, as a human and as a wolf"

His words seemed to cheer me up, I would fight for her, for my sake and my packs sake, we need her.

After supper my parents and Kayla excused themselves and went to their rooms then it was just Ava and I sitting in the dining room

"would you like to take a walk?" she nodded and I extended my hand to lead her out of the house, we walked until we got to a quiet spot behind the house, there was a bench there and I motioned for her to sit down while I sat next to her

"I'm sorry for hijacking your sleepover, I just need to talk to you"  I said in a low voice knowing my parents would probably be listening in on us with our extensive hearing abilities

"uhm ok, what's going on?" she asked with a concerned face

"I like you Ava... I feel this connection to you, like a pull, when you're not around I just want to be near you. Not just as a friend, I believe you feel this too"  she nodded and said nothing as if sensing that I've got more to say

"which is why I need to tell you something about me, it will help you understand why you are so drawn to me..." as I was about to finish this sentence I got mind linked by one of the guards that there were rogues in my territory, Kayla immediately came out to get Ava

" go in the house we will talk later"

"wait, what's going on?"  she asked but I didn't answer, there was no time, Kayla started pulling her back while I started to shift into my wolf, next thing I was on all fours with brown fur covering my body and just then I heard a scream of terror, I turned and found her still standing behind me, her face filled with so much fear and disbelief
